There is no GOD!!!

I don't want to start a fight I'm just extrememly deppressed and if there is a god he doesn't care about me.It also seems like he doesn't care about the million of people who suffer daily.I mean he is the all mightly god,right?CAn't he stop the bad things that happen?

Atleast I hope so.I have suffered enough here I don't want to go on and continue suffereing as a spirit or ghost or whatever.I want it all to just be over.

Although I have a feeling I might feel different when I'm no longer depressed whenever the hell that will be,who knows?

 

I know what you mean. My family has been through a lot but I don't see the negative to this but the positive fact that its made me a much stronger person. I don't believe in God but I have a much different reason, because the Bible is very contradicting and if you think hard about it, it DOESN'T make sense.

Yeah that's another thing.Why the hell should I believe the bible? Its a fictitious book written by man and It's deceived many into converting into christianity.One more thing is...a few months after my birth I was baptised catholic.What gives anybody the right to choose my religion.I don't want to be part of any religion.I also do not believe in the "devil." I believe in hell on earth though I'm living in it right now.

 

And you wonder why you are depressed? You go on and keep having that pitty party for yourself. The way I look at it, you obviously live somewhere because you are on the internet. That means you probably eat regularly. I don't know what happened in your life to make you "depressed" but I can promise you, you already have it better than most other people in this world. Also, if you don't believe in God why post in here? Were you hoping to get sympothy from a Christian?

I am all for helping other and guiding them to Jesus, however, I just can't respect a person that feels sorry for themselves. Especialy when they are talking about some form of suicide or wishing for death. I will pray for you, but I will not cry with you.

 

Dude, have you ever thought of the whole Adam and Eve story? They had two sons right? And one of them killed the other. Well how did they keep civilization growing into the size we are today? If they did have more children, wouldn't they have to get together? Doesn't the Bible speak against interfamily marriage etc.?

 

Here is an Idea, pick up The Bible and read it.

Why does he allow terrorist to enter a school and hold children hostage then kill them?HUH?HUH?WHat about the people of Africa that are suffering and are being killed.Oh and the thousands of refugees who were forced from their homes in Africa and other places?

 

Pick up The Bible and read the book of Job(pronounced Jobe). When you have read that, we will talk more. You wanted answers, I am giving them to you the way God is leading me.

 

You know the funny thing is unlike most people who claim God hasn't existed, I have read the Bible from cover to cover actually. Why do you think I know it contradicts itself? I was born into a Baptist household, went to church everyday of my life until I was 15 when I realized while reading the Bible that it was a bunch of junk. The Bible has been translated from age old writings into English. Does anyone actually know 100% if the translations are accurate? Another thing there are dozens of religions that have been around even before Christianity, why are they wrong?

 

The Bible does not contradict itself. Try and tell me how it does, and when you do, I want at least 5 scriptures before and afterthe scripture you use for an example. Also, reguarding the validity of the translations. When you take into consideration that The Dead Sea Scrolls that were found matched that of other books in The Bible, you begin to realize that The Bible is translated corectly. So many people use that as an excuse not to read or believe, when in fact, they are wrong and it has been proven. So, in closing, I sudgest you read it again. This time, open your mind and get rid of those negative thoughts that you allow into your head.

Sorry Bre but I had to say it because like almost EVERYBODY who claims to have 'figured out' the Bible is dismissed also begins by saying:

"Ive read the Bible ..cover to cover and I .. etc etc"

Then like all the critics in here - they proceed to demonstrated they could not possibly have understood anything they read or even 'Why' or 'What' they were reading.

Usually they 'butress' the argument by explaining how they grew up in church too.

What are you talking about translations for?
Please explain what problem you have with translating Greek into English and why this 'dismisses' the Bible?

Why would the world before Moses or Jesus dismiss their writings?

I hate to rant but Im just getting a little stretched with how many critics offer little more than a 'Pedigree' and a blanket dismissal.

 

Actually, there are huge revivals going on in Africa. Some people there are willing to walk miles just to sit in the hot sun and fellowship for hours. We in America are so privileged that we take for granted most of what we do have. In Africa there is healing from demonic posession, raising from the dead, and many other miracles taking place more often than I have even seen in my own church. Maybe if we gave as much as they did of themselves, we would see more.

 

i brought the dead sea scroll and what a waist of money a more biased veiw could not be attained and as for contradiction there there and who needs five and there exact chapters. if you think jesus qualifys for gods son your a brainwashed moron

 

You know what?I've been sitting here for a while thinking about what I posted and I was just really angry today.I've decided to read the bible and try to understand it the best i can.I honestly do believe in God or a higher being and actually do try to pray every night.Today I was just feeling , I guess angry with god and everything else in this world.I have a lot of questions though.Maybe i should talk to a priest or something.I would also love to learn about different religions.

 

Oh yeah and for some reason I feel guilty for posting "there is no god."

 

I must be brain washed to. And a moron. Heck I don't care what you call me. But anyway I believe in God, I've had many miracles happen in my life. One near death experience was all it took. I also believe Jesus suffered for my sins.

 

he is the cause of the suffering read the bible and see if you can find anthing in the old tesament that indicates otherwise
as for the current war going on between america and the muslams they both started with the same old testament so god cant lose they are both fighting for the same god

god created man in his image. god gave man the gift of free will. unfortunately man is impure and uses free will and supremacy to hurt others.


gods interventions on theis planet would contradict the concept of free will. if you want to look at it another way, god created the good on the planet that fights to stop the violence that many advocate.


if you don't believe in god, then god could not possibly be at fault can he?





i don't get this. there's so much suffering in the world it must be god. there's so much good its got nothing to do with god because he's ficticious? he created mankind and gave one of the greatest and most precious gifts of all and because humanity corrupts it you blame him? sure if tomorrow he decided to get rid of free will ye'd still complain except this time it would be about the inablity to fulfill all posibilities of the human condition.


for every bad there is a good. and i agree that the possibility to grow must be met with obstacles in life. it is the only way you can grow and truely become a better person. the kind of person, a good person, that god would want you to be.

and if you don't believe in god, to be a good person and fulfill that sense of humanity that lingers in all of us.


what we do is not the fault of someone else. god is not a scapegoat. if we sin...we are at fault.
