I was reading the paper the other day it said the world was going to end at 4:00p.m on the 18th March 2005 i had doubts from the start and found it funny that it didn't... did anyone else hear about this?

You know how they say that when you're in extreme danger, time seems to slow down around you? People have got it the wrong way round - time doesn't slow down, your mind begins processing information so fast that time *seems* to slow down. It's a self-preservation mechanism, designed to help us get out of trouble that could be lethal. The closer to death this danger puts you in, the more time seems to slow down, until nanoseconds before death when time is practically frozen. Your self preservation mechanism goes crazy and begins to construct an alternate reality in your mind where you narrowly escape death. In a pinpoint of a nanosecond, a person will live an entire lifetime in their minds. Immortality in the blink of an eye... This is what has happened here. The question is, whose alternate reality is it?

Darn, at least for Y2K I had at least a month of entertainment beforehand watching friends and family stock up on food and water and fret about how losing pc's clocks would somehow stop crops from growing etc. That was fun, and now there is another one, and I missed it. Well, shieeeaite.
yeah these things crop up all the time only one of them makes me worry, and that's one that was mathematically worked out about 3000 years ago by either the aztecs or the mayans (can't remember which) who said that there will be 3 ages, of which at the end of each, a major civilisation will be destroyed. at the end of their predicted 2nd age, they were destroyed... and the 3rd age is meant to be the end of the world - the earth is meant to be destroyed by a series of earthquakes in 2012
No more like a bunch of old crap......Ancient civilizations working out the end of the world always makes me laugh, what makes them so privy to this information??? Jeez they thought the world was bloody flat......So they can't tell the shape of the world but can tell you how its going to end in 2000/3000+ years time...Pllleeezzzzzeee!!! Tell ya what if the world ends in 2012 I will give you everything I own...
