WOW! What a great series of books that was created in the late '60s by Stewart Brand. You can rediscover the charm and incredible resource of information again! The entire series of publications from that team is now available online thru this link: Whole Earth Index I got the Last Whole Earth Catalog in 1971, and it was a page-turning fascinating read, and collection of information that sparked the consciousness of an entire generation. Wish I still had mine. I still have a copy of Divine Right's Trip by Gurney Norman. It was originally printed on the pages of The Last Whole Earth Catalog.
That is why I looked it up and found the pdfs. Divine Rights Trip was a hoot. I have named several cars Urge since reading that.
Too bad the catalog couldn't be spread back then as easily as now. BTW Stewart Brand also founded one of the first online forums, just a few years before Hipforums began.
