the White Stripes

I resurrected all my old CDs tonight and found the White Stripes huddled in and among the bodies. I've missed them.

 

i was a huge fan of the white stripes about a year ago. Now i just listen to "white blood cells" and "de stilj" every now and then, but they are extrodinary albums!

 

I love em. Does anyone know where I can get a recording of 'Goin Back to Memphis'

 

They are the best mainstream band of today.

 

The sad thing is, is that this is correct.

 

I think I like the Strokes better, as far as mainstream acts go


I like the White Stripes ok, but I saw them once several years ago and thought it was a boring show.

 

I've got a few of their concerts downloaded, they do sound quite dull..

 

I think the Red hot Chillis are better,though they are not one of my favourite bands. Velvet Revolver aren't too bad.

I love the White Stripes... they're one of the only mainstream acts I really go for. There's just something about unadulterated, loud, off-key, obnoxious noise that I adore in small doses, and the White Stripes are my poison of choice.

I saw the White Stripes on Glastonbury they were Awesome. They have a new fan.

 

What makes The White Stripes so awesome is that on their albums they're rediculously minimalistic and show no real playing talent. It's obvious that they have song writing talent because they write very awesome songs and people like the songs even though the playing isn't very good. Then when they come to town and people go to see these songs that they love they get an unexpected surprise when Jack is infact an amazing guitarist and makes each song even better by using a much harder guitar part for every song.
I don't care what anyone says both Jack and Meg are full of talent!

I love the White Stripes. ^.^ I've got every album I could find, and they're great for getting me pumped up and happy. Elephant is my favourite album, though.

 

pretty much the only mainstream rock act i can stand. haven't heard the new album yet, but apparently it's quite good. and with marimbas!

 

The new album is "good" but it surely will not be well accepted by most stripes fans ... it's like nothing they've ever put out before. It's almost completely void of any rockin riffs but it's all well put together. DeStijl and White Blood Cells forever.

 

they're one of the best bands around now... which is really quite sad. they're all right.
