so we already have the what are you listening thread, and I thought it would be fun to have a what are you watching thread This is a place to post WHATEVER you are watching, could be a movie, a shortcut, a funny video, a book ... I'll start. I love this shortcut, it's cute and a little creepy at the same time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUH5RnBESgc"]YouTube - ALMA - Cortometraje animación
I'm reading the second Harry Pooter book ^^ I'm challenging myself to read them all before the last film comes out in July Books on hold: Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett, and The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins ^^
reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks and watching bears and my husband playing assassins creed brotherhood.
Ehhhh. It's neither good nor bad. If you're expecting this to be a graphic love story, you'll be disappointed. If you like the main character to prattle on about his feelings ambiguously then yeah give it a shot.
Reading: Fast Food Nation Watching: Working my way through "The I.T. Crowd" atm (there are only 24 episodes IIRC)
I thought it was meant to be a thinly veiled allegory for the relationship between old world Europe and America. Kinda like animal farm, only with creepy old men.
Almost finished DMT: The Spirit Molecule by Dr. Rick Strassman A great read about a scientific study on DMT, a highly Hallucinogenic substance that is in us and all around us. The people who take it have everything from profound spiritual experiences to contact with other beings. If you're interested in psychedelics, read this book. Theres also a documentary about it that's just come out. pretty colours! [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubuTR5vXISA&feature=player_embedded&has_verified=1
Nice thread, I've been getting back into reading recently so this is totally on topic for me :2thumbsup: I am reading this: And...
Well, watched Tron on Satrurday night and I'm still trying to figure out if it's the single worst movie I have ever seen Checked out Kick Ass last week, yup, still trying to figure out if it's the single best ... anyway, thought the sound track is really good too.
Not sure if you have read these, but you might dig em: Food is different: Why we must get the WTO out of Agriculture (Peter Rosset) Blue Gold: The Battle Against Corporate Theft of the World's Water (Maude Barlow, Tony Clarke) Food policy: integrating health, environment and society (Tim Lang, David Barling, Martin Caraher)
It's awesome, but have you seen Scott Pilgrim vs. The World???? It is possibly the best film ever. Hdh I don't ever read love stories so I wouldn't be expecting that... I guess I just want to avoid reading simply pages and pages of pedophilic pornographic prose..... ppppp If the writing is at all poetic and there's a possibility for sympathy toward the protagonist i'd enjoy it more. But anyway I read the ffirst couple pages on amazon and that was good so yah I'll read it And Pypes I've heard that it has autobiographical elements... not sure whether that's true or not and what that means for your allegory........
just finished The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.... super tragic but really amazing! coincidentally, i just started reading a book called Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi. i'd suggest Lolita highly!
Im currently Reading the Halo books, there REALLY good, like suprisingly so, I didn't for one second think books based on games could be any good, but after The Gears of War Series and now the Halo series, i am completely sold
