This is the best you can do?

It says more of you than the sufis.

    Yes it is.

People who put down Islam should take the time to read what flows from these gentle souls.

    ‘It is I.’
‘There is no room here for thee and me.’”
After a year of solitude the disciple returns to the door and knocks again.
    “‘Who is there?’
    ‘It is Thou.’”
And the door opens. ~~* Rumi

The five times prayer is another beautiful mystical way to circulate the Now with the All.

Peace, Shanti, Shalom, Salam, Bright Blessings & Namaste

    Poem 1

The breeze at dawn Has secrets to tell you

    Don't go back to sleep

    You must ask

    For what you really want

    Don't go back to sleep

People are going back and forth

    Across the doorsill

    Where the two worlds touch

The door is round and open

    Don't go back to sleep

    Rumi

    Poem 2

    Let yourself be silently drawn
By the stronger pull of what

    You truly love

    Rumi

    Poem 3

    Keep walking
Though there's no place to get to.

Don't try to see through the distances.

    That's not for human beings.

    Move within

    but don't move

The way that fear makes you move.

    Rumi

    Poem 4

Come to the orchard in spring
    There is light and wine

    And Sweethearts

    In the pomegranite flowers

    If you do not come

    These do not matter

    It you do come

    These do not matter

    Rumi

    Poem 5

When I am with you, we stay up all night.
When you're not here, I can't go to sleep.

Praise God for these two insomnias!

    and the difference between them.

    Rumi

    Poem 6

I have lived on the lip of insanity
    Wanting to know reasons

Knocking on a door, it opens

I have been knocking from the inside!

    Rumi

    Poem 7

    The minute I'm disappointed
    I feel encouraged.

    when I'm ruined

    I'm healed.

    When I'm quiet

    and solid as the ground

    Then I talk

    the low tones of thunder

    for everyone

    Rumi

    Poem 8

    Let The Beauty You Love
    Be What You Do
    Rumi

    Poem 9

Today I'm out wandering, turning my skull
into a cup for others to drink wine from.
In this town somewhere there sits a calm, intelligent person,
who doesn't know what he's about to do!
    Rumi

    Poem 10

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened.
Don't open the door to the study and begin reading.
    Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
    Rumi

    Poem 11

Your grief for what you've lost lifts a mirror
up to where you're bravely working.
Expecting the worst, you look, and instead,
here's the joyful face you've been longing to see.
Your hand opens and closes, and opens and closes.
If it were always a fist or always stretched open
    you would be paralyzed.
    Your deepest presence
is in every small contraction and expansion,
the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated
    as bird wings.
    Rumi

    Poem 12

Think that you are gliding out from the face of a cliff like an eagle.
Think that you are walking like a tiger walks by himself in the forest.
You're most handsome when you're searching for food.
Spend less time with nightingales and peacocks.
One is just a voice, the other just a color.
    Rumi

    Salam & Much Love

'It is from the same source that the words Wahdat, Wahdaniat, Hadi, Hada and Hidayat all come. Wahdat means the consciousness of self-alone; Wahdaniat is the knowledge of self; Hadi, the guide; Hada, to guide; Hidayat means guidance.'

Can you provide a link that mentions sufis as the cause of jihadi murder?

Seems too general, much like Christians are the cause of the witch trails, crusades and inquistion....
the essence of a teaching, imho, is not to be boiled down to fringe fantacism.

The mad mehdi was a sufi you know the man who beheaded general gordon ,so were most of his army .

its funny how sufism is touted as this peaceful branch of islam (mainly in the west to people who know no better ).

the chechan terrorist groups that carried out beslan were sufi

A man of peace is not a pacifist, a man of peace is simply a pool of silence. He pulsates a new kind of energy into the world, he sings a new song. He lives in a totally new way, his very way of life is that of grace, that of prayer, that of compassion. Whomsoever he touches, he creates more love-energy. The man of peace is creative. He is not against war, because to be against anything is to be at war. He is not against war he simply understands why war exists. And out of that understanding he becomes peaceful. Only when there are many people who are pools of peace, silence and understanding, will the war disappear...Osho. I read The Secret and realized it didn't matter who did what or who started it. Its my mind-set that matters. To not be at war within myself or with anyone around me. To just be that pool of peace. I think it raises tha vibration all around you, maybe even the earth or the universe. LOL people around you kinda catch the wave.....

man of peace = raping children and stabbing babys like at beslan

religion of peace =organising war against non belivers and critics for over a thousand years founded by a cruel warlord

why does this remind me of fake men of peace like cat stevens

Not all priests are molesters, not all Muslims or Sufis are terrorists. You holding hatred in your heart is not going to change the world for the better. Everything begins with thought. Create a beautiful world. Try reading Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. Has all the magic and joy gone out of your world?

Hello ottomans, Welcome to the forum.

Insults are the product of a small mind.

Let those who wish to expose this embarrassing truth about themselves step forward for all to see.
