    Peace,

now first. getl me explain why i posted this. i belive electronical over mechanical technology is a bad thing. i own a 57 Chevy 4 door because i dont trust new cars and the way we are down as far as technology is " The Chip" that will eventually make US ROBOTS. i belive man was given knowedge to HELP US use techonlogy to help us NOT DO IT for us! i feel this started in the early 70's. i think that electronics are built carppier then mechanical machines like cars. old cars are made of steel and last a long time! execpt the carberator. now look at newer cars. faster, cheaper ( not really ) better gas milage yes. but look at how often you have to buy a new car NOWDAYS. heck i am the SECOND OWNER of my 57. that is almost 50 years old! and the car still runs. and look at computers. every 18 months computers are getting twice as powerful, fast, & complicated. soon we may be able to do things man was not supposed to do! i think mechanical is as far as man should have gone. cars that lasted a long time, steam locomotives that polluted yes but moved fast, strong, swiftly, and the cinders ( wood or coal ) is fertilizer!, and the smoke is taken by trees and put back in the atnosphere. now i know there are many good things about electronics but you must look at the bad to to make a decision about ti!

I believe in manual labour over mechanical technology. Why do we need trains and cars? When walking will get us there as well. Sure maybe it takes longer but its not like our destination wont be there later and whats so wrong with slowing down the pace of the world. Why do people have heaters those things are hard and mettalic which sucks but a good wood fire works just as well. Things like catapults are bad too since they are used for war which is wrong. If people just threw things at each during it would be so much safer.

ur reasons for mechanical technology vs electronical technology are non-logical. You just seem to have bought into some wierd/stupid hippie-style idea. Do you think you seem to know best over everyone else?

wow that was sort of harsh haha sorry but seriously stupid idea there (no offence)

There are trials going on right now using volunteer families in the US to test a sub dermal chip that acts as a debit card, ID, and many other functions. Today. They don't need chips to control us anyway, they have H.A.A.R.P., which would work just fine.
The only people I see nowadays that are not perpetually rushing around late for something are the ones who do not have all the miraculous labour saving gizmos. the Amish. Ever see an Amish person in a hurry?
And the electric cars being good for the environment, that is still in doubt. think of all the pollution and waste caused in the manufacture and disposal of millions of large batteries.

imagine man's destiny.....soon everyone will be connected through computers, if it doesnt kill us it will only make us stronger. imagine the possibilities, man could turn into one big thinking organism (thats aware of itself) that is connected through technology. almost like the biosphere--except with most of the plant and animal species nonexistent. maybe that is the ultimate goal of evolution--to create god. yes, and you probably wont have that much privacy, or many rights for that matter, but i guess youd have to sacrifice that for the greater good. i got that idea from the book god's debris by shit i dont remember his name but hes the auther of the dilbert comics (its a serious book though)

i would like to believe man is not destined for failure

I don't think electric things are bad, but I do agree mechanical things are usually far more reliable.

Technology is mans physical means of replicating god, pure and simple. And it is getting very close, with the wrong people in the power to exploit it. It can give the possessor of nanotech the power of God, as shelly welly said, linked up in a hyperneural network, contributing to a highly developed consciousness, that with nanotechnology would be able to redesign the world.

So yeh, very scary. The only way it could work sensibly would be a complete agreeall to the power being vested in someone to handle the authority of nanotechnology. It is such a potent force that to fuck with it, as well as A.I., genetic engineering, nuclear fusion hopes and the like, could just wipe us out. To utilise it responsibly would allow a cleanup and a transformation of this planet to utopia; because we'd have that complete agreeall on who should be using nanotechnology (controlling the power of God).

You'd have to go through all sorts of tests to deserve being God though.

nanotech has a very dangerous possibility.. nanofactories.. selfreplicating nanomachines that take molecules from their surroundings to form duplicates of themselves.. would quickly multiply and couldnt be contained.. would be able to slowly pull people apart to multiply... all scifi though :p

Unless the superbugs are nanomachines. Satellites and wristwatch tvs were scifi 50 yrs. ago.
