Men do you use profanity, when you are in the presence of women? Ladies, do you allow men to use profanity in your presence? Would you date these "sailor mouthed" men/women???

I "use profanity" constantly. I can't help it it's the way I talk. I can only control it when I'm in a business environment. I can't even control it in front of uptight family members.

I don't really curse very much. It doesn't come naturally in English and I rarely speak Finnish anymore, so yea.. Maybe that's a good thing. :D

Some of the most foul mouthed people I've met have been women. I don't swear much usually, but I don't turn it off around women.

Personally I'm not a big fan of profanity, just because honestly people who swear ALL THE TIME sound like morons, like they have no vocabulary. And I really, really hate it when people swear in front of little kids...

I try not to swear in front of little kids 'cause I know if I had a kid I wouldn't want it exposed to that shit 'cause it would probaly end up going around cursing without knowing what it was doing

I know, but why not encourage kids to express themselves well? And personally, profanity goes against how I prefer to present myself.

Every other word that comes out of my mouth is a fucking cuss word. I dont cuss when I need to be polite. I dont even slip up. But usually every sentence i say ends in the words "and shit" and they start out like "but mufuckin"

I am weird in that. When I talk, I base my profanity usage based on the company I keep. If I'm with people that are offended by it, I won't, but if I'm with people who don't care, I can get pretty "sailor-mouthed".
However, I find that if I'm watching a movie or a comedian, and they use profanity too much, it turns me off. I mean, in cases where it's integral to the joke or like, then I don't even notice it, but if it's just like every 3rd word, and it has no bearing on the joke or line being spoken, then it really bothers me. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule: Robin Williams, Denis Leary, george Carlin, etc. but some just take it too far (Andrew Dice Clay, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Bob Saget in his early days) That's just my two cents.

I don't cuss often when I'm in company, although I do it all the time when I'm alone. I know a lot of people (male *and* female) don't like it so I don't think it's polite to cuss a lot when I'm with others. But I really, really hate it when people determine whether they want to cuss based on whether they're around women or men. That implies women are weaker & more delicate than men, not being able to handle it or something, which is just stupid and pisses me off worse than any cuss word ever can. Please; cuss or don't cuss, I don't care, but DON'T base your decision on whether someone's female or not.

Even though a person may be highly educated, the over usage of profanity deters from that fact.

man i swear all the time... its all around me, even in my "business environment" where the foreman tells me "fucking good job" all the time. how can i not. but if someone tells me that my swearing is disturbing them or i am in the presence of young children, im able to prevent myself from swearing. didnt even swear over the phone this one time cuz this woman sitting in front of me on the bus had her little daughter with her... im a sucker for kids.
