This excellent show produced by Steven Spielberg is about a woman with multiple personalities who all manage to screw up her life. It's now in the second or third season, and it continues to get better!

What's cool is the actress, Toni Collette who plays Tara. Her personalities are very distinct if a bit one dimensional. One of her personalities is Buck, a beer swilling, girl chasing, redneck. She does a great job with him.

The series is slowly revealing how she came by each of these personalities. One of them, Alice, is modeled on her foster mother who acts like a perfect housewife/mother from the 1950s.

The supporting cast is good, but not outstanding. It includes John Corbett (from Northern Exposure) as her husband. The focus is Tara and how her personalities deal with events in her life.

This show is on Showtime. If you don't get showtime you may be able to view some shows on Showtime's website.

In the last show, Tara has a psych professor (she went back to school) who wants to write a book about her. In the previous show she made all her alters sign a contract which limits the times and circumstances under which they can appear and take control....

One of her alters is a shrink, btw.
