The next election is in 2022 . The Security Council will recommend a candidate to the General Assembly .
Would you like Obama (a peace prize recipient) to be the next Secretary General ? He may be interested
in managing global climate change initiatives . I think if anything he can run a good meeting . Or might he
    become too powerful ?

I am certain that many Americans will wish that Mr. Obama concentrate on domestic issues.

The United Nations is a spineless organization. 73 years later and they have achieved nothing of any use to the world. If they elected SpongeBob Square Pants to the position, nobody would notice or give a stuff.

The U.N has been a useful, if limited, organization generally serving the interests of the U.S., which is why we pay the bills.

If the UN is "spineless", that's because the U.S. and the other superpowers want it that way. Otherwise, we might have world government, and who would want that?

A world plagued with anxiety will accept a world government . Anxiety can be
    manufactured .

Obama would be good at that job. He has integrity, compassion, and experience. As to the “too powerful”, that would be a certainty with some others, but Obama is not motivated by greed, power, and money as is the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania.

That is the classic viewpoint of those from the “haves” of the world. The have-nots have had real benefits and deserve not to have the UN trashed by right-wing conspiracy types.
