The Canadian government recently reported large sums of settlements being made with Afghani families who suffered or had innocent family members who suffered as illegitimate casualties of war with some kind of unwarranted hardship that they have filed against the Canadian Military. Only, the full details and nature of these accounts are not being disclosed to the public for privacy and national security protection purposes, so we really don't know how much money is being spent along the way in regards to reparations to the Afghani civilian population overall. I would love to find some kind of source, however. Does anyone know how these cases are typically handled? I'm drawing a blank.
