wut the hell r these people doing there cutting down all the trees think of all the child hood memories party memories all the good times that people had in those woods all of them are destroyed just to build anothe 2,000 houses wut the fuck two thousand and u would think they would at least leave a few of them left but no! they cut them all down and no one says anything of it its just bull shit.
They did the same thing in my town. I write letters to councils and suchlike, but they seem to take them as a bit of a novelty. It's insulting and disgusting whenever they rape the landscape like this. I quote a song: "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone? They paved paradise; put up a parking lot. (Ooh, la la la)"
It's happening everywhere. Just down the road from me they've clear cut massive amounts of trees, dug up acers of feilds, buried wet lands, diverted rivers underground through storm drains. You can't expect people to live in huts. Citys need to grow, you know. By 2050 we will all be living in a massive concrete jungle breathing toxic air more harsh then breathing 1000 cigarrettes in 2 days. People need wood. You need wood. How else would you live? Plastic homes?
buy! BUY! as soon as this land goes up for sale buy as much as you can and then sit on it don't let them develop it. Get a group of concerned citizens together who wouldn't mind pooling resources to do this. Of course with the new law they can just take it away from you and do what they please with it anyways but not with out putting it in the news first. public attention to whats going on will make them think twice.
round here they just when through and hacked all the trees up so they weren't touching the power lines or hanging over them. Imagine trees turned into giant V's, or having one whole side cut off. It's disgusting. the sign should say: "City Limits, nature prohibited beyond this line"
I'm from Florida so I know what your talking about the Everglades have slowly changed from being a giant ecosystem to malls and homes.. unfortunatly it was a little before my time that is all started occuring. But like others have said we can still save whats left.
My parents live in the beautiful wooded area and more then half of the beauty was cut down to make a subdivions and we went in front of the city and bitched and bitched but they are all gone. I get so sad when I drive by the building site because so many of the animals are becoming road kill
