I have never done DMT before in my life. I started to become interested in psychedelic drugs about a year ago, and I have done tons of research on various types. I recently did a sucessful mescaline extraction. DMT is very rare around where I live. And usually when its here, its a bit expensive. So I decided to do my own DMT extraction. I ordered all the supplies I needed from the internet and they have all arrived. I plan on doing the extraction tommorow or Thursday. I am using 228 grams of Mimosa hostilis. I will probably end up with 1.14 g - 4.56 g of DMT I'm very excited. Wish me luck guys! ~metalguitarist420 :guitarist:
I am using Spicey Cat's extraction, which is a variation of Noman's I believe. I have almost done my 3rd naphtha pull. One more and I will let it evaporate a little bit. Then tonight I'll put it in the freezer and I should have the DMT by New Years Day. Haha. Great way to start off the year.

Then I will just leave it out to dry as I go to sleep, and if it hasn't dried by Saturday morning, I'll put a fan on it and everything. I'll chop it up, and hopefully I'll have some spice ready on Saturday! Just in time for 2011.
So I got impatient and decided to take it out tonight. Haha. I took it out of the freezer around 11:30 or so, so it was in there for about 26 hours. awesome, man. props for doing your own extraction. it probably pays to be patient though. follow all the steps. it will be worth it.
Okay, so the stuff is now dry. I put it in a basic .1g scale, and it read 2.1g. So I either have 42 or 43 50mg hits. I did the math, and I ended up getting .92% of the original Mimosa Hostilis weight. Not as good as I was hoping, but I am very happy with these results. I will be smoking for my first time either tonight or tommorow. I'm excited. It smells nice, haha.
GREAT job for a first extraction and that yield is nothing to be ashamed of, again, especially for a first go. Can't wait to hear how your experiment(s) go. I believe that no matter what your expectations are you will be (pleasantly & shockingly) surprised by what you discover. Happy New Year!
My only concern is that I was hoping my vaporgenie would arrive by the time the DMT did. I think I ordered it on Tuesday or something. I will check the mail again today, but I doubt it will be here today. I will make due with ashes over the DMT or something.
if you don't use a vaporgenie, hold the lighter like you would a match almost, kind of at a perpendicular angle not straight at it, so you don't burn the shit out of the dmt underneath the ashes/herb. You'll need a layer under the dmt as well.
