The temptation to fuck around...

I haven't read the forum rules in about 7 years, and i really just kinda skimmed over them halfassedly then. I feel safe typing "fuck" in the title though because I'm lodog and I can get away with it.

What i can't get away with is feelings for a coworker at work... whom I... like. I'm so torn on the situation. I have a son by my current girlfriend, and we live together to help raise him properly.

We don't click though at all. This girl at work is fantastic though and just recently we got off work and on a whim went to a local waterfall and things started clicking you know. I couldn't make a hasty decision, but damn she's fine and we have a lot in common. I made the right decision at the time and came home with blue balls, but... The urge for something different!

I'm gonna edit this post to make it seem like a clever way of using fuck in the title in a few days, but give me some opinions please.

 

i always think it is unwise to stay with a partner for the "sake of the children"... i'm not advocating fucking around, but you are entitled to have a relationship that works for you, as is your current girlfriend... sounds like you and your current girlfriend need to talk... i wouldn't tell her that you want someone else right at this very moment, but i would tell her that you love your son and want the best for him, but that the relationship isn't working well for you... don't rush into anything just yet... just talking... lots of talking... sometimes, through this, you both might find that you rekindle what used to be there, if it ever was... if it never was, then just pay for your son, and build a good relationship with him, but leave your girlfriend in the nicest way you can... hope this helps...

I agree that it's not good for anyone to make a relationship last when it's not suiting you.

I also agree that you shouldn't fuck around, that makes things even worse.

Your kid is what matters, your kid needs both parents but doesn't need to know where your dick goes, you should be able to be an amicable terms and raise your kid properly even if you decide that it's not a relationship with your current girlfriend that you want to continue, in it's current form.

Don't let crazy bitch fits beat you back down if you decide to seperate, be rational, reasonable, and calm. Don't be bullied with drama (if your current girlfriend is prone to such fits as a means of dealing with stuff).

Don't spend your life in a position that you don't like, you only get one life.....

 

isn't it kind of depressing to make relationships in the first place if there's no intention to make them last? i don't mean like forever or anything, but relationships with anyone you don't know well enough to know whether or not you're likely to want to remain with them for a while, i mean if its just for peepee tingle, you can do that with your hand.

I can relate tho, my ex-hubby and I were like that just there for the little one type thing. Something did come my way and I took it.....and don't regret it.

 

If u and your girlfriend "don't click", i suppose u breaking up with her is not going to be a huge surprise for her. It's nice that u stayed together to raise your son, but u're allowed to have a love life.
It's not a pleasant conversation to have, but at least u're being honest and respectful (considering u didn't cheat on her).

Hasnt been that long since you were a kid has it? Your 29, normally I would assume kid is under 8, but since its Kentucky he could be anywhere up to 16
