Spin Magazine said they rocked. I bought an album, it sucked. They're just popular cause they have cool haircuts.

all of their songs sound exactly the same. when I first saw their video for "last night", I thought the band was going to be the next doors, and sure enough they are....

Everyone's known The Strokes suck for 3 years now. It's music made in factory for the L train crowd..
And does EVERY single song have to have that same vocal effect?

They're okay, but their sound is indeed quite monotome. I liked "Laaast night" :D

their songs are very well constructed, they definitely have talent. It's really annoying when people pass judgment on things that they would never ever do themselves :/

God is that an idiotic and childish way of looking at things. People can say something sucks if they think it sucks. That's just the way it is! You don't have to be a musician to know that a band's songs sound exactly the same, and who are you to say that any of us aren't better than the Strokes, especially when you don't know if you're better than us and the way you decide if someone can pass judgement is by being able to better what they can do.
