My head implodes and expands Charge upon charge your thunderhead fuels my mind. The storm churns libido seas. Tossed about on the swell, gracefully the captain of your immaculate, luscious form. I am swallowed by the tempest. Drifting apart, as trails diverged in the cypress forest To rejoin again. But do we long to travel together? Or champion the great storm, a solid mountain like so many permanently distant peaks. Connected only through the air.
Good stuff here Floyd. It's good to read some of your poetry as I've always enjoyed your prose. I like this poem a lot. The first two stanzas are great. libido seas is magic. I thought that maybe in the third verse you should have stuck to marine imagery rather than going for the cypress forest which sort of threw me. Maybe drifting apart like the wake of a passing ship or something. Anyway, enjoyable stuff. Thanks.
i have to agree with red here, i was getting all caught up in this stormy seas, erotic imagery, then i was thrown into the trees, then i was on a mountain top in the air!!! it just moved too fast to connect all those images, though i thought they were all good images...
