Yeah, that's why when I went to watch the nascar races I always made sure I booked Monday out at the same place in case of a rain delay. it didn't happen but it was good anyway because you spend all day at the track from Thursday-Sunday and then go to Roanoke to stay and you're kinda just pub crawling but then you get a free day in Roanoke VA and you can see what the place has to offer and its not much.

*sigh* another fatal car accident in the mountains. Most likely a family on their way home from the weekend snow. We saw the police there tonight but it didn't look that bad but I just read it was a fatal accident so perhaps the police and services just cleaned up before we rolled through to home. I always seen the remembrance crosses on the roads and I know it signifies where someone has died but I don't usually think too much of it, but it feels weird for me at the moment for some reason that we drive past it and I remember even saying to my wife "it doesn't look too bad at least" but it must have been. It's been a really bad week of vehicle accidents here actually. I can get away with driving on the road with my 4WD truck but the signs in town have been calling for sedans to wear chains, especially as we are in for a good snow dumping the next 4 days.
"Local pickup only".... (Define "local") 2 1/2 hour drive, each way? "Not quite local pickup only" But.... 1975'ish (74-76) Sunn Model 5 PA cabinets. 4X12 with high frequency drivers. Remarkably good condition for 45 years old. A couple of the speakers are dodgy replacements but I'll probably swap in different speakers anyways. Got them cheap, but driving 400+ miles..... Yeah, doubt I'll do that again tomorrow. (or next week) As a matter of fact they are still in the car and probably will be for awhile...
cry time, reminds me my customs that was flooded .. I managed to get the top half together and make a single whole. but I soon blew them out,, it took me some time but the jungle rot was in them after rescue . they did sound amazing with the dry cores.. haha.
The guy I got those speakers from use to use them as stereo speakers in his garage... They have just been sitting there for about 20 years, collecting dust.
i can almost smell the flood on this label.. to much lost to care anymore.. yeah ty, they was gold vinyl. much a mess after water.. but I managed to peel it off and make a good cab out of one for a little while..
