Can you smell a plant that is growing? I'm growing one plant in my closet and I'm afraid my rents will smell it.
probably when it starts budding, jus get one of those plug in scent thingys, 1 or 2 on medium should keep the smell away.
Some smell really strong especially if you brush past them or knock them. I grew a certain amount outside and no joke, getting within a couple of metres from them you can smell them, no problems. Sounds like you may need a fan/filter, etc, they will smell.
