Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? Between all of Lisa's new age interests and vegetarianism, Homer's mom being this hippie-running-from-the-law, I think Matt Groening is a closet hippie. Or am I way off?

Or when Homer moved out and lived with a gay couple for a while.

Homer is a real liberal guy, surprisingly openminded for a beer bellied tv addict.

I think my favorite show is when Homer tries to help the two guys who are bottling juice and he adds the greens from out behind the barn. The whole town gets happy.

There was also the show where he went to visit his childhood home, an old commune.

I recently saw the episode where Homer gets some Medical Marijuana and gets very high. Psychedelicized. One of the coolest Simpson episodes with great music. It portrays getting high in a GOOD light.

The Simpsons writers have been pointing out the hypocracy of US society for years. Aren't all their jokes like this?
My fave is the one on the freemasons (child-fucking satanists)

But to me, that's the beauty of King of the Hill.... they are way over the top, and it's just hilarious, more like they are poking fun at their ideals....
