Through cannabis, I've really learned to enjoy the simple things. Like today for instance, cold wet boring day, nobody is really around, chasing away the mondays... I hop into some sweat pants, roll a spliff, sit back in my chair with my tunes, and turn the heater on facing my feet... bliss
I certainly hear you. Give me some pot, a nice comfortable and warm place to sit and think my stoned thoughts, some music, and a drink and I will be content for the day.
I agree, weed slows down time just enough for me to enjoy every little thing. Where do you live where you need to use heat already?
i know exactly what you mean.. i just got in from smoking, i put some tunes on and now i'm just relaxing with my cat! haha its so nice just to do nothing for a bit and enjoy every little thing that you feel, and every little thing that is going on in that moment.
I live in upstate NY, we havent turned the heat on yet, but we kinda cheat by having a woodstove that heats 75% of the house lol. But it reminds me of a little thing I enjoy, curling under a bunch of blankets when its chilly.
Me too, but i have Cholinergic urticaria, which means I get hives if i am in contact with heat, so i cant turn mine on till its like 10 degrees out. You guys are lucky.
Maybe it doesnt slow down time, but rather speeds up your receptive awareness so that you are bombarded with information, creating the illusion that time has slowed down, when really it has become more maleable and your mind more readily absorbing?
Yes it is :cheers2: and you made a good point too...It reminds me of a video that takes place in India, about buying marijuana, and how they use it in their tantric yoga states. I find this extremely interesting because marijuana is what got me so into meditation and self-awareness in the first place. But anyway it said something about there being 3 factors to accomplish tantric yoga (in their term). It was firstly, the GURU, the DISCIPLE, and the MEDICINE. What he was saying was that without the medicine, guru and disciple are not complete. In India, Sanskrit name of marijuana is Gangika. Ganja means tension. Gangik means 'that creates tension'. Now, Gangika means 'that clears you out of tension'. It spaces things out, and time becomes longer. You see? While this probably has nothing to do with the thread, I thought it would be interesting to share
another simple thing is yeast risen bread. they are so easy to make on a lazy day, and rewarding, and homey and delicious. i get lost the moment i smell the yeast blooming. i made 2 pumpkin braid loaves a few weeks ago, i shared a half with my mom and they made french toast that boggled them with deliciousness. im saving money this christmas, im baking yummyness for everyone.
