Lust, and pride, and envy, and probably actually sloth too, and umm, greed sort of.. definitely wrath.. probably the only one I'm not guilty of constantly is gluttony.. but then depending on your definition of that maybe I am because I suppose I do waste a lot of food..

i dont have to ask a question, i can tell you now that it would be a huge stretch to associate stem cell research or genetic modification with any of those, and also for polluting the environment

Polluting the environment is easily, easily attributed to greed and sloth, no doubt about it.

It does take a stretch for the other two but in a religious sense they both can be attributed to pride, envy and greed.
