    A new political ad has appeared on the radio this week : DeSantes vs Haley. Haley is portrayed as evil.
    Yep, tis rude. So is she.

    DeSantis is inspired to sell his new book and will be on tour in
    Iowa, NH and S.Carolina - the early primary states.

    I think Pense is nice. Oops...but is only one competent experienced tedious Eagle Scout Administrator.

    DeSantis Rounds Up Disney Characters and Puts Them on Bus to New York By Andy Borowitz March 2, 2023 ORLANDO (The Borowitz Report)—In a major escalation of his war with Disney, Florida’s governor, Ron DeSantis, has rounded up several of the company’s characters at Walt Disney World and put them on a bus headed for New York City. At least a dozen characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Elsa, were swept up in the shocking daytime raid, as children visiting the theme park screamed in horror. A merciless DeSantis explained the seizure of the characters at a midday press conference, in which he claimed that “all of these characters, especially the mice, are card-carrying members of the wokerati.” The Governor seemed indifferent to the fate of the Disney characters once they arrive in New York. “Let them wander Times Square with Elmo,” he said.

    So let me ask all of you, can DeSantis beat Trump for the GOP nomination?

    I'm amazed that Trump still has a strong following, seems no matter what he does they still support him. Christ, he's leading in the polls! For DeSantis to beat him would require all other candidates to drop out of the race and throw their support behind him.

    But meanwhile he keeps alienating a lot of his base. Fighting with Disney, banning critical race theory, the "Don't Say Gay" bill, etc. As much as I want Trump gone, I'm not sure I'd prefer DeSantis!

    Desantas: In order to talk about legislators, you will now need a permit. You will only read what the government allows you to read. You will only be able to speak about what that the government allows you to speak about. You will face fines or imprisonment if you do not comply. Russia, Iran, China and North Korea already do these things and now---we are about to follow suit in Florida. Can you say : FASCISM?

    THIS COUNTRY HAS GONE TO SHIT WITH RIGHT WING--AUTHORITARIAN, REPUBLICAN TRAITORS ATTEMPTING TO BRING US DOWN!! Millions and millions of morons are in lockstep with them. Trump is still bleating about a stolen election and republicans are going to have a choice between a brain addled, criminal ex president and a fascist blowhard.     Honestly - and I am not the slightest bit biased when I write this (ahem) There is not one Republican who should become president in 2024. They need to be put down and shown clearly that a majority of Americans are not interested in their far-right ideology. There is not one policy I can think of that is in lock-step with what most Americans want or need for this country.
    I agree with @Tishomingo - Even though I will probably lose what's left of my mind if I have to endure another election with Trump as the main candidate, I think it would be far better for him to run and to lose, than for DeSantis to run. DeSantis is very dangerous. The other candidates and most of the big names in that party are too far gone.
