The road to Hell is paved with good intentions

    "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."

    What is your take on the meaning of this phrase? I have read many interpretations of what it means and they can differ quite widely depending on the person. What's yours?

    it means the road to hell probably has fewer potholes than the road to my job.
