    Hey ladies & gents,

I've seen too many speaking of wanting something bigger and better than what we have today. Being locked in a system, forced to work at a job we don't like and stepping on others to get ahead. Paying for things we don't need, supporting a government or system that we despise, NOW it's time for this to change!

Land ownership is the root of greed and the lust for wealth/money. We need to stop supporting such systems that allow land ownership. We must stop pushing other animals/species from their habitats, we have no right to do so. Pardon my saying so, but realistically, humans have no more importance than mosquitoes on earth nor do we have any more claim to the land. I've heard of laws that allow humans to kill as many animals, deer, gease, squirrel, turkey, etc, as "necessary" to get their numbers down to a 'reasonable level'. I've also heard of the same thing when it comes to forests, I've heard polititians say that there's such a thing as a forest that is 'too dense'. That is absurd. That makes no more sense than running through highly populated cities with an Uzi trying to 'clense' the area and free up space. Killing a tree or any other living entity for no good reason, is wrong, simply put.

I don't want to say too much in this post though, as I've already said pretty much everything in the thread that's posted in my signature. Please, if you agree with what you have read so far, read that thread and tell others about it. We need to spread the word far and wide! It's already rolling strong but let's get some serious momentum on this movement.

Please feel free to contact me via email at kevin__90@hotmail.com (2 underscores) and if you know anyone that doesn't have an account at this site or you see someone in your daily travels that is interested in this, please give them my email and have them contact me.

Love & Peace Be With You ^_^

Well then stop supporting it,, i see you have icq aim aol msn all as instant message accounts,, And a hotmail addy to boot..

For someone that said in another thread "we need to practice doin without" ya sure as hell seem to contradict yourself in your ramblings..

also i notice by your sig your quite computer savy..

Seems to me that if ya really believed in your words your first step would be to throw your puter out the window,,after all the puter supports much of what you claim to loathe..

    just a observation...

yeah hippiehillbilly, and don't forget...he also uses money to survive. what a hypocrit!!

Kevin, don't listen to that bullshit. Sometimes we do things now out of habit that we won't do in the future out of lifestyle. You don't need to be perfect today. Just strive for what you know is right. Even if hippiehillbilly makes good points, he was still unfair in the way he attacked you with it...especially about the computer, which we ALL need to inter-connect with other people. Basically the point is, in this culture of greed and top-down priviledge, sometimes we have no choice but to be a hypocrit. And I'd argue, in fact, that this lack of choice makes us NOT hypocrits because well, we have no choice. Don't listen to him, he's showing himself to be an utterly un-reasonable person who's just trying to make you feel bad about yourself. Just join up with people who care about you. I sent you a Private message...write back!

hippiehillbilly, I was a computer programmer, web designer, graphics artist, hippie, hacker; I do not try to run from my past, rather, I embrace it. I have experience and knowledge that is necessary for my path in life, you are no one to say otherwise. You cannot pass judgement. A leader cannot be ignorant nor nieve, and I will choose neither, to satisfy you. I am who I am and that will not change. The past is just that, the past, the future is what matters. Einstein did terrible in school and was a rebel, did that stop him from changing that and learning from his past? No, he went on to become one of the greatest known mathematician/scientists to date.

I have found that the path I was taking was not the right one, so, do I just forget everything I've learned along the way because of bad choices? Certainly not. Bad choices are the groundwork for knowledge & exploration as funny as it may seem, many brilliant discoveries were born from mistake. I do not claim to be perfect, nor do I claim to be flawed, I am an entity that experiences, that is all.

As you do not know me, do not say that I don't practice doing without until you have visited me. I have ONLY the things that I need for the time being, nothing more. I only recenlty created the AIM and Yahoo accounts. The MSN account was my email address of 5+ years and the ICQ was from way back in high school, my freshman year. As I am trying to organize a massive amount of people, I need to be able to be contacted, wouldn't you think? I make it easy for those who want to speak with me, to do so. I will not turn them away because I have MSN and they only have AIM.

Being someone of your age I would imagine you should already know this but before you judge and criticize people, you should try to understand them. Think about the reasons why they do the things they do, rather than just trying to demonize and put them down. Trust me, if I knew how to convey text and visualize the images from the internet without needing a computer, I would, but I can't, so I don't. I suggest you read a bit more about what I stand for and what I proposed instead of jumping to conclusions as well.

Please take your 'trolling' elsewhere, do not challenge my intellect or integrity, or if you would like to, discuss with me further via PM.

Despite such remarks from you, I do wish you well and I hope you find enlightenment and happiness in this life.

Peace & Love Be With You

The computer is a tool to reach out to people. Even though I have a computer, I don't have a TV,VCR,DVD, PS2,X-box, or any of that other stuff. I live in a secluded area and have animals to take care of so I don't get out much, and when I do...well, the kind of people that live around here aren't the kind of people that relate to me. The internet keeps us informed as to whats going on in the world today, lets us contact our elected officials for protests, allows us to participate in petitions instantly, not to mention I just got a really good deal on spring chicks from a guy I wouldn't have met without the internet. For now, it's one aspect of the system that I'm dependant on, but I hope that that won't always be the case. I dream of being self sufficient in a community of like minded people whose skills and abilities allow for total independance of the system (including the internet), but for right now...well, you get it

    Peace

hippiehillbilly, of course you're entitled to your opinions...but your attacks against Kevin were completely unfair, unfounded, and unreasonable. I think that was the point of our "attacks" against you.

As for the internet, if it didn't exist...I'm sure the anti-globalization movement wouldn't have become the worldwide phenomenon that it did. So don't criticize people who are against corporate hegemony...we have NO CHOICE but to be hypocrits sometimes. We just don't have a choice...which IS the prime reason so many people across the world are turning to the idea of Revolution and counter-culture. Unfortunately now, we HAVE to use things that we are theoretically opposed to, like money. There's just no choice. We are forced into these situations. Please read Naomi Klein's "No Logo". She explains in great depth about this pervasive lack of choice due to corporate imperialism.

An opinion is not a attack,, and i feel as if you people are judging me because i happen to see hypocrytical views in the writings of kevin ..

he says not to support the corporate world as it is but yet he thrives on using the cutting edge of it to get his message out..

Quite frankly if you want to assume that a observation is a judgemental attack then you are only serving to show your youth and inexpierence in life and all the wisdom it has to offer..

trust me if i wanted to attack i could go to his "vision" thread and pick it apart..

Ive spent my entire life living much of what he says "everyone needs to learn before his perfect world is in place.."

like i said all you 2 are doin is proving your youth an inexperiance as well as your intolerance for anyone that disagrees with your views..

Gonna be one hell of a community you create with yalls attitudes ,...

Disagree with us and be chastised then outcast?/

Come on an grow up ya cant even listen to someones opinion without feelin its a attack and you somehow think you will have enough wisdom in 5 to 7 years to start a community with ideals people will flock to..

    yeah rite...

apparently you completely glossed over everything I wrote in my previous post.

sorry man, your views in this matter are just plain incorrect. You can attack my age anytime you want...but believe me, I'm more knowledgable than most people YOUR age regarding corporate empire and how it takes effect on society. In fact I've attended numerous anti-capitalist events and demonstrations for almost 5 years now and I've learned quite a lot. How bout responding to my comments about the anti-globalization movement and how it used and uses the internet to spread its ideals? Indymedia is an INTERNET-based media network. Are you saying the entire global Indymedia network was formed on hypocrisy? C'mon man, you're talking out of your butthole. For someone your age...you should know better.

Please folks, let's not allow this troll to get this thread off topic, enough of the senseless bickering. Continue the debate via PM's as his view of who I am is not shared by others. Let him spout off all he wants, I've ran into his kind before, just click this link and things can get back to normal. http://www.****hipforums.com/forums/profile.php?do=addlist&userlist=ignore&u=225
<<<<moderator note - if you wish to place HHB on your ignore list you must first take out the 4****before hipforums - so that there can be no mistake where this link takes you and what you are doing>>>

Again, let's get this thread on topic & keep it there.

folks just know if ya click that link i will be on your ignore list..

tis your choice i dont really care,,just lettin ya know the number 225 is my number after the forums crashed,, he is settin ya up to put me on ignore..

So if ya wanna continue on with a discussion about communal living by someone that cant even except a observation about his views on paper contradicting his reality then so be it..

Wow. I've been following this thing in the various forums wondering whether to comment or not. It's very intriguing and I was sitting here wishing all of you the best of luck and a positive outcome. However; It does seem that even the slightest bit of even constructive criticism might be met with a voracious rebuttal in 'attack' mode. I've lived quite a few times 'off the land' in some pretty harsh environments and it's no cakewalk. I've also seen similar movements started before and have met currently thriving ones. Perhaps if someone comes along who only wishes to ask a question or two or might wish to point something out is only trying to help in some way. This whole thing with setting a link to ignore the one person on this thread who dared to come along and say yeah, but... what if? etc... sets a very authoritarian precedent. That just in and of itself should be enough to send up a red flag. The 'leader' is setting a mandate to ignore all who disagree. Further to encourage only communication within the ranks and discourage public discourse or any 'outside' influence is a bit fishy. Just a note to keep the cult radar on.

All right enuf waves a big moderator club

Kevin that link has been taken out as a link though people can go to it if they want by taking the * away but - don't seem quite right to call someone a troll when you paint yourself in the same colors.
HHB you and I do not always see eye to eye to say the least, and I know you sit chuckling any time you can get a rise out of those guys, but you know it does grow old - the constant baiting - and i've met plenty of people from yonder down there who do not take pleasure in baiting - figured you to be a better hunter then that - aye ? - not too sporting now is it ?

We try hard to keep this place one of light and love in word as well as phrasing and please help us keep it that way

How - by ignoring or civliy responding with a fair degree of understanding and love and I do realize HHB that you HAVE unmasked deceit in the past and have quite a few that take pleasure in your demeanor - but it often comes across as demeaning - And I also know that you are of sufficient intellect though you be but another ignorant hippy to have full awareness of what you do.

SO fair warning to all who start or continue fights herein - a time out period for those who play in the manner that is obviously offensive.

And for those who think I've overstepped my bounds please complain to Skip or send PMs

    Thank you

Thanks oldwolf, you didn't overstep any bounds.

And Hillbilly, it does get pretty damn old when you pull this schtick, especially considering you pull it damn near every time someone makes a thread like this. What purpose does that serve? You should be encouraging, not discouraging, these type of thoughts. And of course the true irony is that you aren't completely free of the corporate world either, so why act like you are better than others for it? Grow up.
