    The Retribalization Of Industrial Civilization

    By Thomas Ivan Dahlheimer

The unnatural and inhumane regulation of ordinary people’s lives by the elite of large organizations and institutions is necessary for the functioning of the current industrial-technological society.

The media is mostly under the control of large organizations that are integrated into the system. Therefore, to make an impression on society with articles, letters to editors, essays etc. is almost impossible for most individuals and small groups. The result is a sense of powerlessness on the part of non-elite members of society who have an important message or insight to share with others, a message or insight that the elite do not want published or read.

    Example of an insight:
The United Nations’ recent World Conference Against Racism exposed the true history of the Catholic Church, and also, but to a lesser degree, both some Protestant churches as well as our nation. The elite of the Catholic Church as well as both the elite of some Protestant churches and our nation’s federal government denied indigenous people their basis human rights, and in doing so, caused genocides, holocausts, ethic cleansings, slavery, grand theft of indigenous people’s homelands etc., therefore, if the elite predecessors of the present-day elite were responsible for such terrible atrocities, what might the present-day elite be guilty of? To blindly trust in their moral guidance, as many do, is to abandon reason, an essential component of a good moral conscience. And this, in turn, leads to more and more atrocities.

    Example of a message:
Originally, or back in the Garden of Eden, human beings were non-violent and therefore did not kill animals for food and clothing. And now-a-days there are a growing number of Christians whose hearts have been softened by the Spirit so that they are now NATURALLY non-violent and therefore believe that killing animals for food and clothing is wrong and should be outlawed. I am one of those soft hearted Christians, we believe in a vegetarian Garden of Eden diet, after all, the scriptures, as well as the Catholic Church, teach that Jesus came to restore creation to its non-violent original condition, the Word of God says: “the lion shall eat straw like the ox”. For those of us whose hearts have been softened it’s a natural human behavior to be kind to animals, however the elite are still opposed to the extent of our kindness to animals. The elite of the Catholic Church teach that animals do not have rights and that there is nothing wrong with eating meat, even when there is available an abundance of other kinds of food to eat. Because the elite of the Catholic Church once claimed that indigenous people did not have basic human RIGHTS, and also because they still have not revoked the Papal Bulls that denied them their RIGHTS, it’s therefore against reason, an essential component of a good moral conscience, for we non-elite Catholics, to put blind trust in our church’s elite hierarchy (as most Catholics do) - when they teach that “animals do not have RIGHTS”, they have a right not to be killed and eaten, nor have their skins used for clothing.

More on this same “example of a message”:
On EWTN, the U.S. Catholic Church’s television station, the commentator of a weekly program called Christians who are soft-hearted and are therefore NATURALLY opposed to not only the legalization of the killing of animals for food and clothing, but also opposed to the legalization of products that are addictive and harmful, such as alcohol, tobacco and gambling, the “NEW PURITANS”. However, he stated that because of our positions on these moral issues we are therefore opposed to “freedom”. In respect to these moral issues, I believe that he, as well as most modern-day Christians, including most of the Western nations’ elite, are confusing “freedom” with sinful hard-hearted hedonism.

Because of the present-day so-called “free press informational system”, a brainwashing system, some activists (not including myself) have come to believe that violent actions are necessary to get their message out to the great multitude of brainwashed servants of the powerful elite.

The current elite-run industrial-technological society cannot, without a great effort by non-violent revolutionaries (like myself), be broken down into freedom-loving, small, autonomous communities, such as primitive tribal communities, because the elite have a system in place wherein production depends on the collective cooperation of very large numbers of people.

During the earliest stage of the industrial-technological society - people lived in harmony with the natural order of human behavior, and did so, by living in primitive tribal communities, wherein their natural human needs were being fulfilled. But then something unnatural and inhumane occurred, the elite of that time came to believe that if they were to break up the primitive tribal communities by separating families from each other - this radical transformation of the system would help it to progress economically, however, by making this radical transformation of the system, they created a system that existed to satisfy the system’s needs and not natural human needs.

The elite of the mainline Christian Churches in the U.S. are influencing their people to not live in harmony with the natural order of humane behavior, by not teaching them to transform their lives, by assimilating into the primitive tribal people’s culture, a cultural that exists to satisfy natural human needs, something that should have been done when the none-tribal white people of the European industrial-technological society immigrated to the Americas, where the indigenous red TRIBAL people and their sacred homelands were discovered.

I am not advocating that people who are now a part of the industrial-technological society return to a primitive, hunting and gathering, tribal lifestyle, but that we should move beyond an excessively elite run form of society to a new form of tribal living. The hippie communal style of the 1960s is not the new form of tribal living that I am advocating, although it was a move in the right direction.

The current system forces people to behave in ways that are increasingly alien from the natural order of human behavior. For example, the system needs scientists, mathematicians and engineers. It can't function without them. So heavy pressure is put on children to excel in these fields. It isn't natural for an adolescent to spend most of his/her time sitting at a desk absorbed in study. A normal adolescent wants to spend his/her time in active contact with the real natural world. Among primitive peoples the activities that children are trained to do are in harmony with natural human behavior. Among American Indians, for example, boys were trained in active outdoor pursuits - just the sort of things that boys like. But in our society children are herded into crowded indoor class rooms to study technical subjects, which most do with resentment.

Another example: The elite think that they need to prolong young adults’ sexual inclinations and behavior in order to efficiently prepare them for occupations in the system. Instead of preparing young adults for marriage, by helping them to stay in harmony with their natural biological time table, as primitive tribal societies did, (young adults married by the age of sixteen) they prolong adolescents, and by doing so, they promote sexual perversion, which causes young adults to have multiple sex partners, which in turn causes a venereal decease health epidemic as well as unwanted pregnancies which in many cases end with abortion. In addition, this problem with the elite also creates a lot of fatherless welfare recipient families.

The government elite regulate education and commerce so that multitudes of ordinary people are pressured into working like mindless machines in factories that product large amounts of superficial fossil-fuel-using products that pollute the earth’s ecosystems as well as cause many deaths and health problems, and this is another way in which the elite, unnaturally and inhumanely, regulate ordinary people’s lives.

And another way wherein they regulate ordinary people’s lives is by passing building code legislation that forces people to build and live in big, fossil-fuel-using, single-family-dwelling, houses that also pollute the earth’s ecosystems as well as cause many deaths and health problems, and in order to buy and maintain big houses they have to work EXTREMELY hard, and this is an unnatural and inhumane hardship-regulation imposed upon them by the elite.

The governmental elite also regulate ordinary people’s lives, in an unnatural and inhumane way, by not introducing and passing legislation to make the automobile industry produce and sell small, fuel-efficient, automobiles. Big automobiles cost more to buy and drive and therefore ordinary people are pressured to work EXTREMELY hard, in order make enough money to be able to afford to buy and drive them, and this is another, unnatural and inhumane, hardship-regulation imposed upon ordinary people by the governmental elite.

Because of the constant pressure that the system exerts to unnaturally modify human behavior, there is a gradual increase in the number of people who cannot or will not adjust to society's requirements: fraudulent welfare recipients, youth-gang members, counter-cultural hippies, cultists, anti-government rebels, radical environmentalist saboteurs, dropouts and many other resisters of various kinds.

The current system does not exist to satisfy human needs. Instead, it is human behavior that is being unnaturally modified to fit the needs of the system. Therefore, if the system is not radically transformed, so that it exists to satisfy natural human needs it will soon self-destruct into anarchy.

Halleluiah Brother…you dear soul are preaching to the choir!

The ultimate sin of monotheism is the denial of our intuition and the manipulation of our perceptual lenses (beliefs). Our parents were programmed to look at the world as them and us. Competitive consumerism demands a winner…top dog. But there is a crack in the cosmic egg and some of us have been blessed/cursed with the vision of caring and sharing...togetherness.

The truth is that we are all children of this earth. We can choose to share the wonder of it all OR we can fence it, possess it and own it. (What is your choice?) The human spirit truly reflects the profound cosmic resonance that gives the beat to our heart and the rhythm to our breath. Our nature is to be honest and trusting but our karma (cultural institutions) betrays us. We are taught to search for enlightenment in our intellect when in fact it is our intellect that betrays us. Monotheism is NOT passive. It demands conformity and in the process cultivates conflict. It isn’t so much the ONE GOD bull shit but the PUT NO OTHER GOD BEFORE ME crap. Look at the Jews, Christians and Muslims fighting it out…all from the same mold…my way or the highway.

If we need a fundamental conceptual paradigm let it be Mother Nature. We don’t need to stick our heads in the sky looking for salvation. We need to firmly plant our feet on Mother Earth and to sow the seeds of sharing and caring, we need to use our arms to pull the weeds of competition, exploitation and imperialism...

and above all we need to use our arms to love and hug each other.

...the nature in human nature is Mother Nature and the mother of nature is the garden!
