The Rainbow Gathering in 2012 will be in.....

Vision council finally reached a consensus; the 2012 National Gathering will be in one of 7 states: Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia or New Hampshire in 2012.
Not announcing it until mid June of 2012 makes it harder for the Feds to get a handle on things, while the Rainbows are always ready to migrate where they need to on a moments notice.

 

Oh Boy, I'm already looking forward to going.

if i have my way...i'll be in south/central america next year. brazil gathering in february i believe and then caravaning all the way up thru central america to mexico for the world gathering there dec 21, 2012 at the mayan ruins in palenque

 

when is rainbow gathering ever in pa or close to philly

 

rainbow gathering was in Pa. last summer....

 

next year it'll be in tennessee......

 

2 float all the way from natl 2 intl. Plz see my thread "new project". Natls being relatively tenn or miss rvrs. Float 2 gulf of mexico from natls. Then convert from river to oceangoing on the gulf. Then arrive in style to intls or as was called above world gathering. This could be a huge rainbow navy regatta.

 

That would be so dam awesome! I'd definitely be on board! I've been seriously reading up on boat building. Not sure what materials are best for seagoing boats. It would be a sailing ship.

I hope the next Nationals are in Kentucky. My first gathering was at Daniel Boone National Forest.

 

I missed the National at Daniel Boone but attended several OM Valley regionals there. Great memories!

These are the exact words of the Vision Council, so when they say White Mountains, it includes both Vermont & New Hampshire:

Man, I really hope they have it New Hampshire in 2012. I've never been there before, and neither has the Rainbow Gathering.

 

Vermont or New Hampshire sounds like cool places to have the Gathering. Never been that far East. Kentucky would be awesome too. Daniel Boone Nat. Forest has all kinds of natural bridges and gorges for rappelling and climbing and caves. Beautiful old growth forests. A naturalists dream land!

Yup indy. & a float frm one 2 the other quite awesome. Supposed 2 b one on the pacific side too. Maybe sametime I gotta look it up. We just recently discover a river leads kinda close to palenque. Usu macinta or something like that. It forms border betw guat & mex.

 

When is it going to be in Florida near Tallahassee again? I heard it was in wakulla recently.

 

Ocala in February A-Cola in March (in the Appalachacola NF near Tallahassee)

 

I want to check out Ocala. How's the scene? Is it state park or National? Do the cops hassle? That would be a great vacation and reason to go to Florida in the winter.
