OMG yall. This series is so fn good. Anya Taylor-Joy is a STAR. I'm only on episode 3, but to say im hooked is an understatement.
Loved every episode. An excellent TV production. I can't see much scope for a second season but who knows. The main character was excellently played and I'm sure she'll get plenty of awards and offers after this. The costume and sets were all spot on and script tight. It was very enjoyable! I think I fell in love with her character towards the end. She's so beautiful physically too! Good stuff.
Yeah Im pretty sure it was only a limited series, but we have seen limited series randomly renewed for subsequent seasons before... I hope to see more strong originals from Netflix like this one... It's been awhile since I enjoyed one as much as i did with this one.
I am going to discuss something from the show that will include spoilers so if you haven't watched the entire show yet this is a warning. In the sixth episode when Beth is at the hotel in Paris and she wakes up in the bathtub and Cleo is sleeping in the bed, is the implication that they had gotten drunk the night before and had a sexual encounter?
Listened to the audiobook and watched the series. It was excellent, even for me, although I know nothing about chess. Having read the book, I can tell you that you are correct. They did have a sexual encounter.
