Have you noticed that many women have "momof3", "emmasmom", "soon2bmommy", etc.? I rarely, if ever, have seen men's nickname referring to their roles as fathers. Why do you think this is?
it is a cultural weakness of traditionaly denying women their own identity. and of the traditional compulsions of them to go along with it. =^^= .../\...
Not too many do that here. I've seen a lot of that on parenting boards, men and women, but that's the point there... Tons of people here have kids but don't advertise it.
I have 24 illegitimate children, but my nickname has nothing to do with it. I used to have 27 but I ate 3.
Well...maybe we can hold off on the next Baby Eaters' meeting...population control is rarely a bad thing. :H
I haven't ever really noticed that... but it is probably because men aren't exactly trained to advertise whether or not they have children and all of that. I don't know, doesn't really bother me. Speaking of fathers though, yesterday I saw this guy who was skateboarding... while he was pushing a baby in a stroller. Talk about irresponsible parenting...
Yaaar, once again the Baby Eaters hijack a thread! *waves stick in the air, does a piratey dance, then runs away*
