Like I've said, I took two psychology classes at a local community college in 1995. Nothing too deep or technical. I think they were just introductory classes or something like that.

But they talked about children born with Down Syndrome in one of the classes. The book said, I still remember, some of them seem to have an unusually sweet disposition. Is that true? Now it did say that, but it gave no further explanation. Maybe people who work with those children noticed that around that time. Or maybe it was just their opinion, I don't know. If you're asking me what would cause that, I don't know. I'm not a doctor. But it sounds possibly hormonal to me. Testosterone tends to make people more aggressive and estrogen, or female hormone, tends to make them less agressive. And better communicators, I've heard.

But that made me sad when I read that. People with Down Syndrome and other mental handicaps are often abused, or at least were in the past. And some of them are like that. Like I said, does anyone know what I am talking about?
