When we stop referring to each other separately or as the other, we begin to develop the hive mind. What do you think?

I don't think it's as easy as just referring to others as one's self. You have to believe it and behave as though it is true. You have to be able to be trusted and to trust others enough to be open with them and not have hidden secrets.

You shouldn't reject the ego completely, because it is still a part of your experience. Instead you should accept it as a part of yourself, embrace it and then you can learn to control it. I am me, you are you and we are both one.

It's funny how we think of ourselves as being seperate. We come from the Earth, we die into it. We all have blood, we drink water, we have bones, faces, ego's, stomachs, we breathe air, we live here and nowhere else. The parasitic ego's fabrication of a complex understanding of our Nature is bewildering to a mind that differentiates

especially when you consider that all of the subatomic particles that make up our bodies were probably once condensed into an area infinetely small.

if that isn't unity, then I dont know what is!

ive read about the singularity and the big bang is described wrong, it was not a big bang but thats how almost everyone sees it when really i heard a scientist say that it expanded, we are still in the singularity!

"i dream therefore i am not"

well, if our universe started with a big bang it would theoretically still be expanding, infinitely and indefinitely.
I don't like the term "hive mind" but if we could achieve a higher awareness/consciousness as a species we would certainly be better off. like kaminoishiki said though, the ego is part of the experience and shouldn't be rejected completely.

Well maybe it only seems like its expanding and its really turning inside and out of itself, or moving in spirals around a circle, or maybe it will collapse in on itself when it gets too big XD

First of all, there is no such thing, and there cannot be any such thing as a "hive mind," not for humans anyway.

The unity of humanity exists, regardless of anyone's belief, but it is not a "hive mind." It is possible for all humanity to understand and agree about what is most important, vital, essential, etc., but the essential human qualities of every individual preclude, antithetically, the kind of mindless collective of automatons that your fears suggest.

Secondly, if, out of fear or a false belief in the necessity of it, you have to refer to anyone else as "The Other," then you are already ignoring your own highest qualities. Do not let your thoughts about the "hive mind" define who you are and what you do. At that point, ironically, that non-existent "hive mind" controls you.

Let it go. It may be good to know what your fears actually are, but do not feed them. Instead, realize your essential human qualities. Be fully human.

    Peace and Love

For humans, its called mob mentality.

Spiritual people are different however. They do indeed possess a kind of hive mentality because their personal self is no longer at the forefront of their thoughts.

They live for the sake of others because compassion has been awakened.
