it's ok. there is actually no comparison between the 2, I just thought of a film I already knew you liked.
I haven't seen Slumdog but from the reviews and praise, I wouldn't be surprised if it won. Rourke and Ledger for sure. I think Hathaway would have a chance if she wasn't against Winslet. I mean, this is Kate's sixth nomination and she had two big roles this year. She already got the Globes and has said that she wants an Oscar. They might take that stuff into account. Of course, they might not and give her the Scorsese treatment but I'm still pretty sure she'll win. Penelope Cruz should absolutely not get it. I like her as an actress and I haven't seen any other flicks from the supporting actress nomination (except Wrestler and Tomei doesn't have a chance) but her part in Vicky Christina Barcelona was way too brief, pretty annoying and had more screaming than acting.
documentaries is where it's at for me. man on wire and encounters at the end of the world were both wicked good. man on wire without a doubt for the oscar. with the press 'examined life' is getting i think it's a genre to watch in the next little while.
the curious case of Benjamin button is the most....fucked up, stupid movie of all times i swear on it
As seen in the trailer, they have expanded the short story to epic proportions. Really good short story. I love Fitzgerald.
