    what a bunch of garbage the Oscars are. it's all politics.
    the only film up for Best Picture that I saw was Milk (and also Frost/Nixon when it was a stage play with the same lead roles), and even though Milk was a fine film, it just illustrates how the Academy Awards have no integrity when Drugstore Cowboy or My Own Private Idaho didn't get the nod back before Van Sant had built up his name among the general public.
