I want to try some new Hot Sauces and I need some suggestions. I like a hot sauce that has good pepper or chili flavor too it, not just spicyness. That is why I hate tobasco, all I taste is vinegar. I do like the green tobasco but it's not spicy enough for my macho badass palate. I love sriracha and cholula. I love a hot sauce that utilizes some chipotle flavors. Please share your favorite hot sauces (pictures would be nice) and what makes them so good. :bomb:
I had some of these chili peppers called Madame Jeanette this summer at an Indonesian restaurant in Amsterdam: They were in the final course, and my brother and I took a big bite of this course each. I swallowed it and started sweating. Then my legs started to vibrate as my nose started to run. I felt like I would fall over if I tried to stand. The vibrations moved to my face and all I could think about was the insane heat from the peppers. The whole thing sort of reminded me of an intensive ego loss experience with DPT. Anyways, my point to all of that is that you should get some of those, and make your own chili sauce with them. A sauce that causes drug like body sensations - what more could you want?
They're on about the same level of heat on the "scoville scale", so I assume habaneros could give you the same kind of buzz were you to use them.
I've seen that around but I've never actually bought it because I'm worried it'll have that overpowering vinegar taste that the original has. Maybe I'll just open a bottle in the store and have a little taste... Also, the garlic cholula is grandiose
If you want something with ALOT of kick get any hot sauce with Naga jolokia(gost chili peppers) as an ingredient it waaay hotter than a habanero pepper
I'm a huge fan of hot sauces and spicy foods. Dave's Gourmet makes some pretty good sauces that aren't just hot but have real flavour. You can check it out here http://www.davesgourmet.com/ Some of my favourites from Dave's are - Hurtin' Habanero - Roasted Red Pepper & Chipotle - Jump-Up Chipotle Frank's also makes some pretty good sauces. Sweet heat, extra hot, and chile n' lime are all great. I've also experimented combining different sauces. Some great combos I've found are - Frank's extra hot + teriyaki sauce - Spicy mustard (or frank's extra hot) + ranch (amazing for wings, add butter if you're putting on wings) - Honey garlic + frank's extra hot - Buttermilk dill + frank's extra hot (also good on wings) - Basically frank's extra hot + any BBQ sauce But yeah, just experiment mixing different stuff together and you'll get something that fits your taste perfect. And I think this is the hottest sauce I've tried
