what is your favorite character, and why? Mine is Dwight, because he is so stupid at times, but still manages to keep a straight face.

It's a three way tie between Jim, Dwight and Michael.

Honorable mentions go to Creed, and Kevin.

    Jim! Come on!

I've watched a few episodes recently (I'm not up to speed) and I find that I enjoyed it more with my ex. Weird how the way you view certain movies and TV shows can vary depending on who you share it with.

What about the UK version? That was much edgier and David Brent was a lot less likeable. But he and Gareth were great characters. I liked Keith and Tim (I have to say the actor playing Jim does an uncanny reproduction) in that one. And I liked Dawn a bit better than I like Pam. Only a little.

For once, the American rip-off is quality in it's own right. If only the same could be said for Deal or No Deal and others.

I love The Office, both the UK and US versions. I wasn't over-sure about the US version at the start, but it seems to have a "life of its own" now and has satisfied my want for there to be new episodes of the UK version. If that makes any kind of sense.

In response to the original question, my favourite character would have to be Tim/Jim. However, is it weird that I would really like to date the Dawn/Pam character?

I watched about a minute of the US Office, and turned it off.. this was after I just finished watching both seasons of the BBC version.. from what I saw the US versions humour was a lot more crude, where the UK version gets you laughing just from the awkward silences.. It just didnt satisfy me the same way
