Ooh, I love estimating about the future!.

It's odd, ten years ago, I was five, I thought by now we'd have flying cars and stuff...xD

    Hmm... 2010, eh? I think the decade will go something like this, culturally;

2010-2013, end of the emo scene, the last Goths have matured and had to look like normies. No new Emo kids are produced, but they continue to age. I imagine the 80's look will re-surface, since the "Bring back the 70's" fad was this decade.

2014; A new version of the Goth looks comes out, similar to how the Emo look stemmed from the Goth look, I hope fad will look more like Punk and look cooler than Emo does. Rock finally dies. Rap becomes more mainstream (I hope!)

Hmm...I'll come up with more later.

Rap is much better. Rock is just "Hey, I have feelings, listen to them, okay?"

(Good) Rap is more of wanting to change the world, listen to this song and tell me you don't understand the struggle of oppressed minorities.

Of course, a lot of rap songs don't take themselves seriously, and some will even make you laugh out loud, unlike rock, which is just...Blargh.

To be fair, I actually think rap-rock is the best genre of music, there needs to be more of it. Yes, I know I'm a hypocrit. :p

IMO true rap and hip/hop has been dead since 2000 - 01. the 90's were amazing. now days commercial garbage will always air.

then again music in general seems to be just get worse and worse. unless you know some underground artists regardless of the type of music.

each decade gets worse with population growth. so that will play a factor.

governments scare me more now more than ever. lets hope the net doesn't go on lock down. but then again hackers can always keep things open. :D

we will see 2013. then people about the 2012 thing will shut it.

Oh, heavens. Emo died out long ago. Its evolved into Scene; a more brightly coloured and narcissistic style. Its partially a ripoff of the English New Rave style, with some 80s thrown in for good measure.

    A horrible, repulsive trend.

The next decade will be the one in which weird improvised music and experimental avant garde Noise become cool, then huge, then they'll be briefly replaced by a 00's revival, before returning bigger and better than ever.

rap died when biggie was shot, rock died when lennon was shot, and all thats left is a bunch of bullshit that can be made up, played, and copied in under an hour for someone who has no previous artistic or musical skills....

and the jam scene has been live and rockin ever since grateful dead came along...they passed the torch to phish in the 90s, and i think phish has passed it to maybe sts9 here in the 00's....everybody likes sts9...the 10's i am hoping country music, rap, hip hop, and bubblegum pop STAY POPULAR.....that way all the good music wont get ruined....

people will start using computer programs to create music and sounds that are not achievable via instrument.... (myspace.com/andreism)...which hopefully will be cool....

your all wrong. the new starts on january 1, 2011.
almost all mainstream music always sucks. there is one hell of alot of great underground music! corporate music will still suck in the next decade.

as for fashion... i don't give a shit! i wear whatever i want to and, i don't give a rats ass others think about it!
i'm most likely one of the worst people to ask about fashion.

lol srsly...biggie wasn't really THAT great. there were way more inspirational artists that did way more things for hiphop than he did. I'd go as far as to say LL Cool J did more for hiphop than Biggie.

And trust me, hiphop is far from dead - despite what Nas has to say.

If you think hiphop is dead then you aren't looking hard enough, lazy ass.

Don't try to pull that age garbage on me, either.
