What is the deal with this band from Brooklyn? Part of me likes them. The music is full of great melodies and rhythms, but the music sounds so pedestrian and very mainstream, almost like something you might hear on the radio. They almost sound like a more refined, adult-contemporary version of Interpol. I don't think these guys get much airplay, but they sound like they could. There is just something that's keeping me from liking these guys, though their last three albums all get very high reviews on RateYourMusic. I liked their sound at first, but it started to quickly feel like something that was becoming more and more a guilty pleasure. What do you think?
