In Southern California where I live, driving a late model car is part of the status symbol of having arrived. While I realize some car companies use alphanumerics for their boring car names (i.e. Mercedez-Benz, Volvo), many still use names. There seem to be a lot of weird ass names out there. FOCUS ECHO ELEMENT SCION Any others come to mind ?
How about Coronas or Corollas? What does that tell you about a car? But any of them sound stupid when you think about it. Like the animal thing. Mustangs, Cougars, Broncos.
scion is strange aries golf rabbit caravelle lebaron oooo entrepid and don't let us forget the ' Thing'.
Ford PROBE. Who the hell thought of the name Probe???? Reminds me of an unpleasant medical procedure.
there is a manufacturer in Europe that is called SEAT...WTF, thats like naming yer car company "DASH"
I actually saw on the news years back on the names of cars always ending in A. I dont remember their conclusion, but whatever. I have a 1973 mercury montego MX. It is badass. Its not in such good condition as this one, though.
I live near you and your right it's horrible I know no one who drives an older car and most of the people I know are like my self we're broke college students who have massive car payments and insane debt (mine's not bad though). I was watching susie orman today and she refered to us as broke but fabolous it's so true no one would ever guess how little I make with how I look it's sad.
