Anyone else love this show? I would sit and watch this show all day if I could. Lily and Herman's relationship gives me butterflies they're so cute. Love peace, Katie
yes it sure was a good show.clever writing, staging etc, and they had a very good cast.i'm glad it was done before color television came about because i think it would not have been quite as good in color.
Your right, I think it was the pilot episode I saw in color (It was on the DVD set). It just wasn't the same.
i always wanted one of those dolls that eddie munster carries around sometimes..its a little werewolf...too cool
I love the show. I don't have cable though, so the only time I get to watch it is when I go to my Grandma's house
Munsters was pretty good. Think of all the work they did to have a set like that, not to mention the makeup. On TV today, people sit on a sofa and pop off dumb remarks. .
deCarlo was a pretty good singer too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvonne_de_Carlo Some more stuff. The Munster Mansion was used previously. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Munsters .
Wayans Brothers + Munsters Film = Disaster. http://fusedfilm.com/2008/11/wayans-bros-munster-re-make-close/
I used to love this show when i was a kid. I haven't watched it in years but i can remeber watching it as a little kid. That movie probably wont be that great though...
RE: yvonne decarlo. I too loved this show when it came on broadcast tv! A couple of things i have run across about the show and its actors are: 1. Yvonne was one of the original homesteaders out in Calli. while she was filming this show she lived the simple life She had a small place somewhere in the hills around Hollywood. She lived her life living off of the land and it never seemed to hurt her! Whatever happend to the original hippies out in Calli? 2. Fred Herman still is one of my personal favs. I could stomach some of Steven Kings works until he killed off ol fred in the movie Pet Cemetary!
long live Al Lewis. Last time i saw anything about Al he was going to run for mayor of NYC He openly admitted he smoked weed and never mad any apologies about. If the restaraunt is still open? next time you are in the nyc area try to eat at the restaraunt called Munsters it is or was owned and run by Al Lewis himself!
I had a thing for Marilyn. She doesn't do it for me anymore in reruns, but she helped me get through puberty - her and Mary Ann on "Gilligan's Island"!!
I watched The Munsters, Gramps was awesome I liked that car they had... i heard the rims of Lilys car kept getting stolen. ^_^
