Luv is NOT the kind of man to say romantic things.. He says this of himself when I complain about it : P Every now and then he says something unexpected such as, in a recent conversation, casually referring to our relationship as "just getting started", implying the long term ahead. That's romantic to me. Tell me memorable romantic things your partner has said to you. As specified in the title, non-sexual.. Just because there are enough threads full of that stuff.
When I first knew Jane, she was working at one of our theaters. After a long day at work and an evening dealing with customers, I sometimes gave her a ride home and we unwound over a cup of tea. One night, she suddenly blurted out "Hurry up with that tea, I want to go to bed". Needless to say, she was not inviting me to join her. LOL. That all happened about 45 years ago, but we still laugh about it today.
"You're a crafty little Imp, aren't you? Shrouded in a realm of your own Mystisicm .. and you're mine" "Are you serious? This is where you grew up? I want to spend the rest of our years together here too." And we spoke this together as our oaths were bound in marriage "We will"
I'm going to be a bit serious here, even though the thread seems to be going another way. When I met my wife over 47 years ago, I'd sing her silly songs that I knew and she actually thought I'd made them up. They were songs that I'd heard from lesser known groups, or old folk songs that were funny. One day, after we were beginning to fall in love and not just lust, I sang the song, 'Daisy a Day' to her. Well, we married a few months later and on our wedding night, she whispered to me; "I'll love you until the rivers run still, and the four winds we know blow away" I was impressed that she'd remembered me singing that to her months before.
Someone told me that they liked me because I was “half in this world and half in the next.” I thought it was a an intriguing compliment.
So.....I See This As.....Half In....And Half Out Of Your Mind......Sounds Like A Fair Apprasial To Me...... Cheers Glen.
