With all this talk about robots, there are a few questions I would like to ask. First off, will it be possible to put our brains in robot bodies? Can the robot bodies be taller than 5'? What would be the penalty for a robot killing a human? Can we x ray vision? Burning laser eyes? This is extremely important...
What, no one knows? Come one, I need answers! How else can I decide whether or not I want to have my brain put in a robot body?
//yeah... but transferring your mind to a //different substrate would me more Advantageous //Transferring your brains into robotic bodies is //not considered AI... it is considered prosthetics
yes if we last long enough (i.e. no WWIII) for technology to get that far yes no clue probaly and maybe
hahahahahaha as important as these questions may be, i can only answer one. although robot bodies technically can be taller than 5', most will be about 3.5'. only those robots developed for specialized skills requiring height, like fruit picking, will be taller
If you were a 12 foot robot you'd have to pick coconuts or bananas and if you were only 3' then you'd probably have to pick everything else, but that would include strawberries and who would want to waste a good robot body by putting one of our overcomplicated and extremely unsophisticated minds? Doh ! Are we more educated in the science in Artificial Intelligence, or "retinal reconstruction" ? Maybe the keys we are looking for are in our own eyes, or what's behind them, or why we can't repair them. google "A.I." vs. "retinal reconstruction" Y is dat?
I bet there will be robots for changing bulbs in street lights and such. Would that be more to your liking?
will it be possible to put our brains in robot bodies? nope. if we were to figure out a way, we'de have to design the body to act and feel much like a human body, which is pointless. the brain gathers its fuel from the many blood vessels running through it. they would all have to have blood or a very blood like liquid running through each and every one of them, and there hundreds of thousands. next, the brain requires all the materials needed for all the chemicals it produces and it would look to hormones and other such comunicatory juices to tell it what to do. we shall never trick the brain
you know, you should watch more sealab 2021. You'd be short, but you's also have the strength of 5 gorillas.
hahaha...don't you think stilts or platform shoes would be less drastic than a 12' robot body? sure its low tech, but low tech = low cost
hmmm, i could suggest duck-tapping some laser pointers to the sides of your head, and using one of the stilts to beat people with, but i get the feeling that wouldn't satisfy you. It looks like your two choices are joining Sealab or a career in fruit picking.
