I think Therefore I am, I think (computer voice) Of course, you are my shiny little star. I've miles and miles of files, pretty files of your forefathers Fruit, And now to suit our Great Computer; your magnetic ink No man, I'm more than that, I know I am (Inner voice) There you go man Keep as cool as you can Face piles of trials with smiles It riles them to believe that you percieve the web they weave Keep on thinking free
You did it again. First it was Steppinwolf and now the Moody Blues, these music induced flashbacks are keeping me from getting anything done. Bless you. ~Peace
anybody wanna "ride my see-saw" this "tuesday afternoon"?...lol yes.please continue with "the eyes of a child"
Bluebird flying high, Tell me what you've seen If you could talk to me What news would you bring? Of voices in the sky
One of my favourites: Cold hearted orb that rules the night Removes the colours from our sight Red is gray and yellow, white But we decide which is right And which is an illusion
The Moody Blues: brings back some really good, old memories. Don't want to say how old, though
its "bright little star", and "brief files". but close enough. "tues day af ter noon, the trees are calling me near, i've got to find out why. those gentle voices i hear, explain it all with a sigh" for me it was their first six albums, concluding with seventh sojourn, with the london phil as backup, of which days of future past was i think either their third or fourth. i think every good boy deserves favor (a nemonic for the lines of the trebble staff from bottom to top) was i think the sixth, and now i'm having a mind fart about the names of the others. i used to know every cut on every one of those albums and had each of them on 8-track
Back in the 1980's, a female friend, gave me some " Dancing Test Tube". She has a double output stereo, we were in another World, Listening to " Days Of Future's Past" blasting thru those headphones .... just laid there and the power of that music took us away for hours .... as a party was raging down stairs.
Tripped out to many a moody album back in the day. Certain albums were arranged specifically for tripping, like Lost Chord. You can learn a lot on acid with a side of moodies.
I still enjoy them....in your wildest dreams....with real honest to goodness big speakers.....on either side of the room...
I have almost everything they've recorded. Became hooked listening to 'On the Threshold of a Dream.' Then I discovered Days of Future Passed and the rest of the 7 albums that brought them fame. Here they sound even better with surround sound by way of Polk Audio towers, Sony towers in the rear, Sony sub-woofer and Polk Audio center channel speaker. With wooden floors in a redwood framed wooden house, it rocks. Makes 'thinking is the best way to travel' come to life! Days of Future Passed (1967) In Search of the Lost Chord (1968) On the Threshold of a Dream (1969) To Our Children's Children's Children (1969) A Question of Balance (1970) Every Good Boy Deserves Favour (1971) Seventh Sojourn (1972)
You forgot their first, the debut album, "The Magnificent Moodies". Released before Heyward and Lodge were members of the group. Thomas and Edge along with Laine, Warwick, and Pinder cut the album. In Canada and the US the album was released under the title "Go Now: The Moody Blues #1" with a different arrangement of tracks and replacement of several songs.
I have that one, but it is very different from the next iteration of the group. And once Mike Pinder left, that was that. He came back to do just one song on Octave, then goodbye. He was responsible for the lush orchestrations and arrangements that made those seven album stand out.
