Any fans of this early-mid '70s punk band? I just found their self-titled album the other day, and it's awesome! They were rather heavily influenced by the Velvet Underground (but think more along the lines of Loaded rather than White Light/White Heat), and founding Velvets member and punk godfather John Cale actually produced the album. Very Lou Reed-ish, but a great listen.

Yessiree, it is. I've heard a little bit of his solo stuff, too. It's funny, but good. Kind of like They Might Be Giants, I guess.

Yeah, "Pablo Picasso" is from The Modern Lovers. I would definitely recommend checking out the rest of the album.
