So, tell me your favorite parts about the matrix.

Which one out of the three was your favorite?

I am inlove with all of them. They just have such a heavy message. And they were filmmaking masterpieces. It would take so much disccusion to decode the message in the Matrix

I like how the special effects evolved over the course of the three movies.

I love how deep it goes
To completely understand it you have to watch it a fews times- until it almost makes sense, watch a few more- until you realize you were wrong about some things, and then watch some more

Oh I think you mean trilogy. Yeah I've seen all three. It's been a while since I saw the second and third though.

    SharyBobbins,

I just love the idea that there's an alternate reality out there beyond our perception. Just because we spend most of our lives in what appears to be a state of awareness and consciousness doesn't necessarily make it real.

also, In my opinion the first movie was the best :)

The Matrix trilogy are my second-favorite movies, behind only Star Wars. As you can see from my AIM handle, sometimes I feel like I am Neo- like the whole world is messed up and I'm the only one who can see things the way they really are. My favorite moment is the battle in Reloaded of Neo vs. 100 Smiths.

I've seen all three, and the Animatrix, but only once, and I wasn't really putting all of my attentions toward them, so I'll definitely have to watch them again. From what I remember they were really mind... fucking... (for lack of a better term because I'm tired but too stubborn to go to bed) and multi-layered.

Matrix was an awesome experience. It had such an influence on me that I began contemplating if we were really living in a pseudo-world. Would we be able to understand the difference? (Even Osama Bin Ladden seems like a Morpheus charater, or even the Merovingian. He seems to strike hard and then disappear!) The second Matrix was enjoyable, too, but it didn't have the same impact as the original. The third one was a fumbled ball that could have been a winning touchdown, instead it was a letdown. Still, the first two are right there in my top ten of movies. Superb direction, soundtrack, scenario, editing, costume, oh and a damn good piece of acting! And they invented bullet-time!

Wasn't the oracle played by two different actresses because the original one died? I heard this somewhere.

Yeah its sad but true, I liked the fisrt oricle, she was like a grandma. Does anyone think the matrix has to do with government control. The way we are unconciously conditioned, and the way the agaents try to stop the liberation. like we shoot people like Kennedy, and King and even Juses.

The part in 3 where Neo is stuck in the train station, for me it was quite a feat to visualise the junction between the relationship of the many-to-one that exists between the real world and the matrix, great move to create the concept of a tube station controlled by the Meravengian.
