I have had reservations about Alan Watt in the past, but he really sums it up well in this clip. http://youtu.be/nOYNHivHPr4
He contradicts himself by saying since evolution we've been made to feel that we're not special and then later on in the discussion goes on saying how we're the 'ME' generation and selfish. I also think he's flat out wrong about the effect evolution had on cultural thinking. Prior to Darwin's theory, many groups such as Immigrants, slaves, indigenous people and women were all treated as subhuman. This makes me skeptical of his political claims but on the surface it seems like a genuine concern.
family and religion are both over rated. but they're certainly a great convenience to organized crime.
