Anyone else like 'em? I think they're great. I would have to say Amputechture is my favorite album to date.

Their music is a trip in itself, but it's also great to trip to.

they just came out with a new album, man.
    I love this band.
    They are fantastic musicians/producers/performers.

There's no one else that plays in 20/4 with moogerfooger pedals and ring modulators swarming in the background...

    fuck yeah

Yeah, their new album is off the hook, I think almost better than AMputecture, I heard they put on a band live show. Kind of like Mr. Bungle because the musicians don't play together when they record. Still need to get one of their live albums.

I've seen these guys 5 times live now, if you can appreciate their recordings you'll love them live.

Does anyone really think Amputecture is that great? I was very disappointed with it, my least favorite album of theirs by far... My favorite is probably Deloused, followed by Frances and I'm still trying to get into their new Goliath album (some songs are amazing, some not so much..). Oh yeah and they are one of the best live bands I've ever seen!!! Highly psychedelic and unpredictable. Oh and the fact that they use John Frusciante from the Chili Peppers in their music makes me an INSTANT fan, regardless of anything else. Frusciante is a god among men! [IMG]

Frances the Mute on vinyl is amazing, thought I am a little embarassed at how long it took me to figure out that the album is infinitely long on vinyl, the spiral groove turns into a circle and it plays in a loop.

Still waiting for Bedlam in Goliath to come out on vinyl, so I picked up the record of the collaboration between Omar and Damo Suzuki, "Please Heat This Eventually". Amazing.

I think it's more Jazzy Post-Hardcore with elements of psychedelia.

I think they have more Post-Hardcore than Jazz or Psychedelia that's all.
