those who had gone to woodstock know better then i do but i think that with so many people all together listening to music and dancing and all those drugs had to have formed so big magic. Just think of it. We need more times such as those. All those ... good vibes , i can just see them vibrate from that kind of crowd.
I have heard that when hundreds of people all together feel and think the samething at the same time , it can change the weather. I dont know if its true but its something to think on...

As a matter of fact,it's true. Even mold in a peitry dish responds to love (draws it closer and negitivity moves it away from the source). It has also be said, that negitivity gathers in the universe above us, as it churns and bubbles it is said that it will build to the point that it will create Solar Winds which may distroy all life on earth If we keep creating negitive energy at the rate we're going we wont be here long enough to see world peace.

We must strive for more LOVE LOVE LOVE energy to disperse the negitivity that looming above us. We could move mountains with the right kind of faith. Woodstock was the first 'coming togther' in such large numbers, we were half a million strong. Every where was a song and celebration(CSNY). WE came together in peace and love sweet love. It was very wet wet wet, no bathrooms and not enough food or drinks. Everyone had Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds in their eyes and talk about loving and finding peace. They ( I say they cuz I was prego and couldn't drop, but I did smoke my brains out)all looked like cartoons to me. I think I was the only one NOT on acid at Woodstock. I did have some mighty fine blond lebenses hash that kept me feelin' good for the three days we were there.
The Who, and CSNY were my favorites, we could hear them through the crowds churnning. You could feel people vibrating that were next to you. There were ones going through rebirth, all curled up in fetus position, some were streched out looking at the clouds. They were laughing, crying, singing and dancing. And the rain came down. The rain was accually a blessing. It was hot and no water to ever wash your face. The rain was refreshing, then the mud was everywhere. But hey, who doesn't like to play in the mud.
Ritchie Havens played for about an hour waiting for Jimmy Hendrix to come out of his heroin stuper and make it on to the stage, Ritchie made up the song Freedom as he went along trying to stall for Hendrix.
Country Joe and the Fish were singing The Viet Nam song, and got the crowd going, it almost turned bad (Joe's a real shit starter, not in a evil way) Janice was wailing her heart out as they took another peice of it, singing Summertime.
It would take hours to comment on each band. They were all absolutly wonderful. Even through the morning sickness I managed to have the most outstanding experience of the times.
Perhaps it's time for another gathering of the masses and try to brake up some of this negitivity that is looming above us. To nutralize it with positive LOVE LOVE LOVE.
    Well, it could happen.

If you are interested in the effect of music or words, check out the work of Masaru Emoto. He wrote a book The message of water. He experimented with cristals of frozen water, and how the order of the molecules of water change under influence of certain music or words, or how the surrounding can change water.
It is so shocking to see the pictures of these cristals. it really shows that awareness of what you listen to, what you read, and where you are is very important, specially if you realize that we humans are made of 90% out of water. Also another experiment here in Netherlands, where a community of transcendental meditation followers showed that if a big group of people are meditating on peace, criminal behavior is becomin less in a large area around the group. Soo.. be nice and keep on meditating? good vibes

i was just watching woodstock last night on vh1classics. they didn't play the whole thing but most of the main performances were there. good vibes and energy can radiate even through a tv i think cause i'm still in a good mood and feeling possitive about everything.

I think there was more love at monterey then at woodstock. I think woodstock has got it's rep because of it's size. 500000 people.
The Love Parade in Berlin also had onetime 1.500.000 visitors. Also alot of love and drugs. When I was at the loveparade in Berlin people were sharing there xtc with strangers. And everybody was happy and lovely. I think the main difference with woodstock is is that the hippies had one goal, one way of live. The ravers don't have that. The go to work afterwards and they see things differently.

In case you missed it, I have discovered dates, names, and events that link the original Woodstock with at least on of the Dead Sea Scrolls. I have explained it a length in my threads in the Christian section of this forum. Look for threads psychedelic drug pushers, The Axis Of Evil That Bush Did Not Talk About, and others. For my personal website, see my signature.

I thought it was interesting how Jimi played the national anthem. Even among the most independent and anti-establishment nature of the hippies, that patriotism was still there.

I am replying to myself, it feels funny. Well, anyway if you are talking about magic of Woodstock there is nothing that says magic as strongly as the Woodstock and Dead Sea Scroll Connections that I have discovered. There are some related mp3's at my site too. PEACE! BOY...HOWDY!

To me the most fascinating thing is that 36 years (!!!) later you just have to watch it on TV and open up and listen deep inside of you and you can feel it (I suppose it´s like anybody can still be a part of it in a way - although I wish I could have been there way back in 69)!

    I liked your contrib shameless!

Sorry but I don't like that woodstock documentary.
Too much bad performances of the band. To much straights.
I wanna see like gypsy people and bohemians doing crazy.
But I like the scenes with the nude swimming and the part where they are all singing in the rain and the beginning seeing it being built with great music from crosby, stills and nash. the rest is all of the same.
I also liked seeing the interviews and shots. I liked everything but not the performances.

well wan't jimi's version, the way he distorted the song and kind of chaos meant to represent the distortion in this country and the way we are falling apart and getting off track of the original?

I don't know. I think it was his rendition of something he thought highly of. Jimi said he thought his rendition was beautiful (interview on Mike Doglas show, I think). It got some of the traditional-thinking people in the country upset who took it as a insult of the national anthem, but I don't think Jimi meant it that way.

Jimi was in the Air Force, if I remember correctly. I think he was a paratrooper. It's not mentioned all that much. He still had a sense of being an American no matter how rough things got in the U.S.

To me, Jimi's version was like the American flag flapping in the night sky in the middle of rain, wind, and turmoil.

You are so right on with everything you have said SHAMELESS. Love produces vibrations that are so good for the earth and so on and so on. Have you read any of the Celestine Phrophecy Books ? It explains it all in them. Peace and Love.

I did not have the pleasure or the opportunity of attending Woodstock, probably because in the small mid-western town I grew up in, word of the greatest gathering of kind souls hadn’t reached us, otherwise I know that I would have hitch-hiked there. Wow, shameless heifer, that was really heavy. It seems lately that my emotions have been right on the surface. Then there’s something in my eyes, my vision becomes cloudy, and I then feel warm, wet drops running down my cheeks, then I feel cleansed. Carrying way too much needless baggage. “The lighter you travel the freer you are.” Peace & Love DDR

    Yes I've read, "Celestine Phrophecy"
