A random stranger made a difference in the life of another stranger. The simple act of walking out of a building, but stopping to read a sign on the door, literally made a difference in my life today. I couldn't stop smiling. Now I'm just sitting here wishing he knew that he made somebody's day, without even trying. I feel high on life right now. Thanks, random stranger!
It's a great feeling when something small can make your day. I have to ask...what was the sign on the door?
I had this communications course, and for our final we had to do some volunteer work, and "10 random acts of kindness". --I actually found the random acts to be most rewarding do its spontaneity Ever seen the French Film Amélie? It's about an eccentric woman who performs random acts of kindness that turns into a love story. And yea, what'd the sign say op?
That the library would be closed on Labor Day (today). I totally forgot about Labor Day. The fact that he stopped to read the sign on the door caused the woman behind him to also stop to notice whatever it was he was looking at. Chain reaction, finally I looked too (and super glad that I did!). lol
No, I haven't seen Amélie but yeah, random acts of kindness are excellent The sign said that the library would be closed on Labor Day. If the man who stopped to read the sign hadn't done that, I wouldn't have known until today.
lol Labor Day... the day I hope isn't prophetic. (because I'm hoping baby decides to hang in there a little bit longer) and other than that a day my husband gets to work for 12 hours and gets paid for 24 hours instead. :afro: (Did our grilling and stuff yesterday.) Oh and I read that book and didn't even know it was a movie.
Now that Labor Day has passed and you didn't have to labor and deliver, will you be thinking about Labor Day on labor day? teehee I'm gonna bet she'll be born on .... the 9th! at .... 3:00 PM exact. Tuesday, September 9th at 3PM Um, help me out here people. What should I wager?
Haha...very good could be. My mom sent me a text yesterday saying her prediction is the 17th. (I don't think she'll stick around that long).... sometime around the 9th sounds very possible.
every day i don't have some kind of crap people have created for each other to worry about, is a wonderful magic enough for me. the forest is magic every day. if i could live there every day, that would be magic too.
of course the library's closed on labor day. it's a government building, they close for every fake holiday, outside of halloween. i also appreciate when people actually read signs. it's incredibly frustrating when you post signs up all over the building, put it on facebook, your business website, building schedules, etc., and then when the event you were warning people about occurs, you get screamed at by someone who's in the building every day for not posting any information about it.
Well yes of course I know why they're closed, and that they would be closed. The point is, I forgot that Monday was a holiday. I know what you mean. Humans really suck, don't they. Fuckers.
the existence of nonhumans is a magic that can be observed almost every day, depending somewhat on where you live.
