Which according to John Lennon actually had nothing to do with LSD.
It was based on a picture his son, Julian(?), drew when he was in kindergarten.

At least that is what I have heard him say in more than one interview.

 

Do all the songs need acid or LSD in the title? These specifically mention it in the song.

The last two are on A Threshold of a Dream and in that order. I highly recommend that album and especially these two for tripping music.

 

Yea I defiantly think that Lennon was just saying that for the media. That song just spews LSD!

There might have even been an interview where he confirms that.

Tom Petty's Girl on LSD, I actually heard from a few peeps that a lot of MGMT songs are about heroin or have underlying references to it...not sure myself.

 

they mention heroin and cocaine in time to pretend but I thinks its meant to be ironic.

 

"Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" no doubt had influence from psychedelics, if not actually about them.

John Lennon didn't hide, though, that "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "She Said She Said" by The Beatles are about acid.

Another good song about acid is "Roller Coaster" by The 13th Floor Elevators.
