The margarine companies like money. So they will keep trying to tell people that their frankenfats are healthy. Much like the tobacco companies... It will all come crashing down at some point, and in 1000 years, people won't be able to believe the crap that humans used to put in their bodies, knowing it made them sick.
thats kinda what this whole Paula Deen thing is about, isn't it? kinda like the old "there's no such thing as bad publicity". Paula Deen, unofficial spokeswoman for the National Dairy Council ? just sayin
I think it's pretty much common knowledge that margarine is just terrible for you and you can't even compare it with butter (and yes, I know there has been a long standing debate but I also know the winner will never be margarine)...
unless its grape drink vs grape juice, then there is just no argument. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8LNGvgWnG8"]Dave Chappelle---Grape Drink - YouTube
MUST SPREAD REP !!! that sure takes me back... niiiiiccccceeeee ! (loading a special bowl and clicking refresh :sunny: )
I decided I'd try lactose-free spread;it's ok,plus without the 'greasiness' of butter. Ok Puggy,I thought [coz I'm informal when I speak to me],let's try their lactose-free cheese. Hmm...wasn't too sure, when I got it from the fridge,as it seemed 'rubbery'. Well,it's paid for,may as well try it....then I dropped it. I can tell you-it's quite a surprise when your lump of cheese bounces! Yep,it bounced-nearly back into my hand. "Oh,ffs...what've you bought, you prat!" I thought. But I went ahead and tried it anyway......and I have to admit,it actually tastes,well...cheesy. I thought it might taste like rubber,or just have zero taste. But,in fairness,lactose-free bouncy cheese is actually very palatable. So now I'm trying lactose-free milk, too. At first,it seemed 'watery'-but now,I wouldn't change back. I even like Almond milk, especially on Jordan's mixed-nut cereals. So-to those who are wondering but haven't yet tried....I am the KING of the cynics when it comes to foodstuffs....but I'm still here,I'm a LOOOONG way from obese,my heart hasn't stopped [yet] and it costs no more than full-fat equivalents. Oh;plus the lactos-free spread doesn't seep through hot toast.Bonus!
I doubt anyone else here besides myself eats butter whole (meaning I cut off a huge chunk off a block of butter and eat it straight up). I am hipster like that, and doubt people come close to my level of enlightened coolness. Butter from grass-fed cows is sooooo fucking healthy. Anyone that tells you it's not has been watching too much Dateline.
it's so good! it can be kind of pricey sometimes though, but a little bit goes a long way so it isn't that bad.
