the little things

Do the little things in life make you super happy too? I dont think most people even notice it, but life is so full of highs, we just gotta stop blocking it out and let it affect us entirely with no defense mechanism.
I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is stand in my balcony and look at the sky, I dont care if it's cold, or anything. It's a new day, and the sun is shinning and the clouds are right there, yeah somedays the weather is crappy, but you always know it's gonna change, like everything else, it always change.
I have so many pictures from my balcony from different time of day and different days, from beautiful sunsets, to birds flying, puffy clouds, orange trees. That really makes me smile to be able to see that and enjoy it, I also notice that in my building which is HUGE, I've never seen anyone standing in the balcony, not when it was warm and even less now that it's cold.
I've noticed that pigeons have started to take refugee from the cold in my balcony, I think it's cool, they almost dont get scared that Im there, I like that, it's like we can all be friends. Today I was in my room and two of them stood outside my window, but instead of just standing there looking to the outside, they were looking in, it was hilarious.
I love taking the bus downtown, because I get to see the river on the way there and it's beautiful and sometimes it feels like Im the only one looking out the window, things are taken so much for granted by everyone, that makes me a little sad.
Also, people dont seem to smile anymore. Whenever I go out walking I look at the people in the eye and smile at them, they probably think Im crazy or something, most of them look the other way or something like that.
It's weird, all Im trying to say, it's life is so beautiful and there are so many things out there to make us happy, and they are just there and all it takes is for us to notice them. Like finding a super tiny flower that fits delicately between two fingers, or talking to a little kid, just letting it all in. There are so many things that makes us feel high if we let them. Just gotta let them.
Im not saying I dont get sad, I do, just like everybody else and Im not saying ignore that either, but just for people to remember that there's so much to be happy about.

Im happy it made you smile guys, that makes ME smile , Today was a weird day, but I decided to keep focusing on the positive things and well share them with people, because it might brighten someone's day. We all need it sometimes.

It's like a warm and cozy home here People's happiness makes me happy. It's all contagious

 

I'm happy when I wake up and it's sunny.

The sun hits my window early in the morning and usually wakes me up for a bit. I have a clear cup with water always standing by my window, and when it's really sunny out the rays hit it and form this beautiful rainbowish colour patterns in the water.

But yes, the little things... how great they are.

This is a wonderful thread. I need to remember to smile at strangers more often. I've been staring straight into strangers' eyes lately when I pass them. It's an interesting experiment... only one old guy stared back at me, like a badass.

I noticethat as well. Once I hung up lots of bottles full of water infront of a sunny window and it put really cool patterns of light all over my walls taht never stopped moving. It was really cool

 

hehehe I live for the little things in life that no one notices... Yet again I am impressed by the caliber of people on this forum. Tomorrow will be great and we can all agree on that!

I also get bummed out noticing how few people look out the window at pretty things. Especially on planes. How is some crappy TV show getting watched over a view of the world that you rarely get to see?

 

I'm so glad to read there are other people like me in the world.. sometimes even just smiling makes me smile..

 

I know about the plane! I spend the whole ride looking outside the window, haha I have gotten people to even ask me if I could close the window... I always say, but it's so beautiful outside
